Minecraft ps3 i cant hear my friend while playing minecraft ps3

The thing what i do is
1) Put your mic on
2) Leave the game
3) re-join the game
4) Hold ps or xbox button
5) turn off consle
6) Leave mic on
7) turn on consle
8) set up Minecraft ps3 edition or xbox
9) Join friend
10) turn mic off
11) turn mic on

and it should be fixed
