All SMS messages are restricted to 160 characters, regardless of service provider. If you want to send a longer message then split it into more than one message or it will automatically be sent as a MMS.
By default, all SMS traffic is limited to 160 characters per message.
Depending on the handset and the carrier, if you go over 160 characters the handset may automatically send a second\third message to the recipient to finish the complete message.
Slightly older phones would automatically go to MMS after 160 characters,
Much older phones won't even give you the option of going over 160 characters in one SMS message.
So most likely, the 450 limit is a limit hard coded into the phone.
You are facing this problem b'coz of your service provider.This problem sometimes comes due to problem in the network.i also got this type of error whenever i tried to send any msgs but after sometime it has been automatically solved.so please be patience your problem will be solved automatically or you can contact the customer care of your service provider.thanks you
When writing sms make sure you not scrolling to the bottom (the bottom line switches sms to mms.) Also in Settings-Messages check TEXT MESSAGES - and see options.
1) go into the menu
2) click messaging
3) click menu in the bottom right hand corner
4) click MMS options - this should bring up a screen with 5 tabs along the bottom of the screen (sending, recieving, profile, compose, about)

charged it will show formatting for 5 minutes and it is done. dont

Reject all calls beginning with ### (i.e. an area code or provider like everything beginning with 800)
