It is sure to be a problem with the controller.
If you can open the controller up, you can compare the good controller on the side that operates to find the problem with the bad side.
If you have a multimeter, you can surely fix the problem.
Check for output where the wire comes out of the controller if you can get inside of the controller.
It may be that the cord is bad.
That is the most abused part, because it is continually being moved and bent.

Why is My heating pad flashing F it's not that old. I've tried in many outlet, but still does it

Hello, Pat -

You have not stated the manufacturer name of your heating pad. Knowing that will help in providing you the right information.

I have found complaints about a Sunbeam King Size XpressHeat heating pad, with statements from the owners about an F appearing on the temperature display for the heating pad and the pad no longer heating.

In case yours is a Sunbeam King Size XpressHeat heating pad, see the complaints here:
https://www.sunbeam.com/pain-relief/heating-pads/sunbeam-king-size-xpressheat-heating-pad/002013-511-MASTER.html
Scroll down the page to see the Reviews.

I hope you saved the instructions which came with your heating pad and the sales receipt. The pad may still be covered by the manufacturer's warranty. Most companies require a copy of the sales receipt when an owner needs warranty coverage.

You can add more information by choosing Comment and typing in details (maker and model number) for your heating pad.

Best wishes.

How to Use the Heating Pad
When you get your package, the cord and the heating pad are not connected. Before plugging the cord into the outlet, make sure that the cord and the heating pad are connected. Yes, the control/cord must be connected to the heating pad before plugging it in. If not done in this order, it might cause a blinking F in the display and the pad will not heat up.

Flashing F
Some users experience a flashing F (meaning failure), in the display. Make sure that the cord with the display is connected to the heating pad BEFORE plugging it into the electric socket. The flashing F can be avoided by doing this. If you still get a Flashing F, disconnect from the electric socket, make sure the cord is tightly connected to the heating pad, wait 2 minutes and then plug it back in.

KEYPAD BUTTONS STUCK

The touch pad sends a signal in sequential orientation that starts and stops various functions. When the controller sent a message to the heater coil to disconnect it failed to negotiate the command. The problem therefore is the electronic switch in the heater circuit. It could also be as simple as a temporary short due to moisture buildup on sensitive electronics and connections. Check all internal wiring for disruption or damaged insulation.

Sunbeam Heating Pad

You can try to order a replacement through the company you originally bought the set from. If it is fairly new, the warranty may still be in effect. My sister goes through http://www.pioneercomfort.com and has had good results, you could try there.

Malfunction heating pad

Same F2, quick off problem here. Then I noticed that the gray plug on the power cord was not completely flush with the connector on the pad. I shoved them together until there is no gap. The unit's worked perfectly since then.

Sunbeam Heating pad will not reset

I have a Sunbeam heating pad with the SW204 controller that the High light blinks when it is plugged in. I called Sunbeam and the first thing they said is it cannot be plugged into a surge protector. Next, to reset it unplug it from the wall, then unplug the controller from the heating pad. Wait 30 seconds, then plug the controller back into the heating pad and then into the wall. It did the trick. However, when I move it to the bedroom plug it does the same blinking. Sunbeam is sending me a replacement heating pad. They appear to be very good with Customer Service since it is more than a year old.

Heating pad

There are no repairs done on Sunbeam heating pads. If it is less than a year old either take it back where you purchased it or contact Sunbeam.
