Hi. I have bought two pairs of Sony blue tooth headpones. I have connected them to an ipod via a Sony adaptor. Both headsets will not receive a signal in the left ear piece. What should I do?

The adaptor is specifically for the ipod. Is there way of getting sound in both ears?

  • marcshaw May 15, 2009

I have 2 sets of blue tooth headphones (DR-BT21G) they come with a special adaptor for the ipod but only play sound in the right ear. What can I do?

  • marcshaw May 15, 2009

I tested it on my wife's Ipod and the same thing happened.

The adaptor is specifically designed for the Ipod.

Is it possible that Sony would sell an adaptor that wasn't stereo?

  • marcshaw May 15, 2009

I have two pairs of blue tooth stereo heaphones. They come with an adaptor specifically for the IPOD. I have tested them on two IPODS but both play only in the right ear. Any ideas?

  • marcshaw May 15, 2009

the model number of the headphones is dr-bt21ik.

    the bluetooth transmittor is tmr-bt8ip

    thanks.

If you have another ipod or know someone who does test them in that. If the problem is not there then the port on your ipod is malfunctioning and needs to be repaired. If it does have the same problem then the adapter may be mono and you need a stereo adapter.

It is unlikely but possible I would check the package to verify

I need to pair my bt2050 up to a new phone,it was originally paired wit another phone that i do not use anymore,im using a nokia x3 now and when im trying to find and pair up it says there is no device...

Hi Barbara,

Please follow the below steps, i hope your problem is resolved :-

  1. Make sure that your phone's blue tooth is out of hidden mode and , it now shows up as shown to all, in the connectivity settings.
  2. Make sure that you delete the pairing from the other phone , via it's blue tooth settings, if you are not using the phone and it's switched off , then you don't have to worry about it.
  3. Switch off the bluetooth and restart it , so that it's ready to accept new connections.
  4. Now go in your blue tooth option and search for a new paired device , it should reflect your Jabra blue tooth.
  5. If the above method does not work , sadly your phone does not support the Jabra blue tooth.
  6. You should also try connecting this blue tooth to someone else's nokia phone to check compatibility , if it's compatible with the other models, that means X3 is an exception to this compatibility.
Hope this helps.

Can i use my plantronics 230 bluetooth for my blackberry phone?

Hi, yes you can use plantronics 230 blue tooth for your blackberry phone. All you would need to do is to pair the device with your phone.that will do.

How to pair a phone to a blue tooth device?

Instructions

Pair Your Blackberry with a Blue-tooth Headset

Turn on Blue-tooth headset and Blackberry hand-held.

Enable the Blue-tooth radio by going to the options window and clicking on Blue-tooth. Click on Enable Blue-tooth in that window.

Add your Blue-tooth headset to your Blackberry by clicking on Add Device in the Blue-tooth window.

Find and select the name of your Blue-tooth headset from the list that appears. The Blackberry will search for all Blue-tooth devices within range, so other devices might show up on the list.

Click Activate Blue-tooth device if you receive a call and the Blue-tooth headset does not pick up automatically.

Use your Blue-tooth Headset with your Blackberry

Make sure the Blue-tooth radio on your Blackberry is turned on before you try to use your Blue-tooth headset.

Use the voice-dial feature to call contacts if your headset has that capability. Not all headsets support voice dialing, but more of the newer models do.

Press the on/off button on your headset to end a call or use the end button on the hand held.

Tips & Warnings

Pair your Blackberry with any Blue-tooth-enabled device using the same steps as those for connecting a Blue-tooth headset.

Remove your Blue-tooth headset from the list of paired devices on your Blackberry by selecting and clicking on Delete Device in the Bluetooth window.

Configure your Blackberry to connect to a paired Bluetooth headset without asking for authorization in the Bluetooth Device Properties window. That will allow your headset to automatically reconnect even if you take it out of range temporarily.

Only configure a Bluetooth headset to your Blackberry once. Once you configure the pairing between the two devices, the settings are saved and you do not have to repeat the processes each time you use it.

Turn off the Bluetooth radio on your Blackberry when not in use for security reasons.

Adjust volume on your headset or hand-held to a comfortable level. Excess volume from in-the-ear headsets can cause hearing damage.
