The calculator will not work and won't let me type anything. The only thing on the screen is a cursor and it is not blinking.

Hi,
What kind of cursor? Is it checkered? If it is the memory is full that is why you cannot type anything anymore.
  1. Delete games,
  2. clear all lists [2nd][MEM][4:ClrAllLists][ENTER.]
  3. Clear entries [2nd][MEM][3:Clear Entries][ENTER.]
  4. If that is not enough reset Ram [2nd][MEM][7:Reset][1:All Ram] [2:Reset][ENTER]. Clear the Ram Cleared message.
Hope it helps

Gives error memory message when tries to change

Hi,
See if the cursor is checkered. If so, the calculator is out of memory.
You may have very little memory available and then wanted to create a table with a very small DeltaTbl (the table step). If the step is small, and the domain is large, very many points will have to be generated and that may make the calculator unable to comply for lack of RAM.

I suggest you free some Ram by clearing the lists, clearing the entries. To do so you press [2nd][MEM][3:Clear Entries] to clear entries, then press [2nd][MEM][4:ClrAllLists] to clear the lists.

Alternatively, you can just reset the Ram by pressing [2nd][MEM][7:Reset][1:All Ram][2:Reset][ENTER]. Then clear the Ram Cleared message and start again your table.

Hope it helps.

When I press any key on the calculator it takes about 2 seconds before anything comes up on the screen. The batteries are new. Any idea what the problem is?

Hello,
The RAM may be quite full. Reset it: Press [2nd][MEM][7:Reset][1:All Ram][2:Reset] [ENTER][ENTER]. Clear the message RAM Cleared by pressing [CLEAR]

If you do not want to reset the RAM you can try to clean it. Press [2nd][MEM][2:All]. A list of all memory comtents appears. The applications, programs or data that are archived have an asterisk to their left.

In the list, select an item you want to delete and press [DEL].
If item is archived, you select it, and press [ENTER]. The asterisk should disappear, The item can now be deleted.

I suggest you select a few items to delete and press [2nd][QUIT] to allow garbage collecting to peoceed.
Delete some other data (apps, programs, ) and press [2nd][QUIT].

Hope it helps.
