I think these machine have a GDI Printer Board and the mem stick will go in that, now that jibberish means, that somewhere usally external rear or sides there is a board that is slotted into the machine, this thing will have 2 turnable long finger screws about 7cm apart attached to a rectangle face with gdi or expansion board written on it Power off/undue screws remove board, insert memory module etc Check driver on pc is GDI for copier and that it also has correct extra memory options selected Hope this helps I'm not sure on the model but that how most of em r

Thank you Soulvisitor. You gave me enough information to find a home for the memory board. I removed one screw holding an unmarked 4X4 access cover on the back near the location of the USB connector and spotted the mating connector for the memory board. I kept myself grounded to the chassis and plugged the board in along with a little plastic retainer supplied to hold the board in place. I made no further PC adjustments and the printer function was faster and seemed to work fine as is. Thanks for the help with this Toshiba e-studio 163 copier. Tom
