When formatting a card for a camera, it's important to make sure to format using the menu settings on the camera itself and not from a computer. This guarantees that the card will be the exact format that the camera requires in order to record images and videos.
In the Home Menu of the camera, navigate to "Manage Media" and select "Media Format". Choose "HDD", and this will properly format the internal hard drive of the camera.

How do you get rid of movie disabled on a sony video camera

The movie recording error message indicates that the Camcorder is not in a position to record videos. It may be due to shake, free space, corruption in the folder structure, bad sectors in the HDD.
Please follow the below steps and check the operation. Each step is a possible resolution, so please perform one by one and check the operation.
  • Place the Camcorder in a steady surface and press the record button.
  • Please press the reset button on the Camcorder and check if that helps.
Make sure that you have turned ON the Camcorder while pressing the reset button.. You can locate the reset button from the below figure.

  • If the issue persists again, format the HDD of the Camcorder and check the operation.
To format the HDD of the Camcordeer, you can use the HDD FORMAT option under the HDD set
Note:Formatting the HDD will erase all previously recorded videos and images from the Camcorder.
I hope this will resolve the issue

What is hdd formate errir? and what is the

Your camera can not format its internal HDD, something wrong with the system, most probably the hard disk. Special tools needed to repair HDD(software and hardware). If you can operate your camera's menu to select SD card as a recording media (i hope it has) then try recording. If ok, Now you know which is faulty. Good Luck

My JVC HDD GZ-MG365 will not record to the HD. It keeps coming up with an HDD error.

Try to format your HDD on the camera itself. Formatting is available in the menu. Formatting your HDD outside your unit is not recommended. Make sure to back up important files. Hope it Helps

HDD Error!

Take it to a camera store or to a Best Buy store and see if the hard drive has a problem with it such as a bent recording head.

Did the hard drive format completely?
