If you're going for loud SQ then go with 2 JBL W15GTi's in ProBox's SuperBass box for 2 15's. If you just want SPL then get 2 15" Cerwin Vega Stroker's or Stroker Pro's in the same SuperBass box. Check out the box at proboxrocks.com. With either setup, you won't even won't be able to sit in the Expo

That could be part of the problem. There is a black Powerbox that may have a label for the ECM Relay. The ECM is needed for your vehicle to run good. At best, you may be running on "Limp Mode" which ignores many of the sensors and just keeps the vehicle going so you can limp home.
After that, the Dealers have BIG scanners that do not rely on your onboard computer. These units ask questions of your components and do not rely on the memory inside your SUV.
When you address the power issues for the scanner, some things may straighten out.
I had the same trouble with my 2004 Ford Explorer everyone told me I was going to need a new transmission even had a dealership tell me that sight unseen. I ended up hauling it in to another dealership expecting the worst. I got the call a week later to come pick it up. I asked what the problem was they had said that my transmission fluid need changing it had A LOT of debri in it keep it from working properly and it happended all of a sudden. I felt so relieved. From that pooint on I made sure the transmission fluid was changed every 30,000 miles. I put another 100,000 miles on it before trading it off and getting a bigger SUV. I sure do miss my Explorer I took care of it. :) Good Luck!
suggest taking in for service could have something to due with the central locking system for the suv. hard to diagnoise a sound with out being able to experience it . could be a door latch, a control module, a relay never no untill you start looking at wiring diagrams. just a couple ideas good luck
For this problem you may need to put your SUV on a specialized scanner. The ABS system has a dedicated diagnostic plug to test the computer within it. The fact that your lights are dimming is unusual. For something to pull enough power to dim the lights without blowing a fuse first is showing this is a wiring problem.
You may want to disconnect the NEG battery cable or park the SUV outside your house, away from anything valuable. There were recalls on Cruise control circuits for some year models. You should read the Vin# to the Dealer as it is possible this unit was missed. You can also check under the Brake pedal lever and see if there are any broken plastic switches. Sometimes a foot will break parts in the interior of the drivers pedal area. The resulting short could affect some lighting.
The ABS warning can simply be a wheel sensor which fell out of its mount. For it to ground consistently to dim lights, I don't see it happening. Would like to know the results of this repair.
