You hve probably damaged the lens unit. impact while the unit was extended? the auto power off will retract the lens thus damaging the little plastic gears in the lens unit. you may need to replace the lens unit

Hi there: E 61 00 Difficult to adjust focus Inspect the lens block focus reset sensor E 61 10 Zoom operations fault Inspect the lens block zoom reset sensor E 62 00 Steadyshot function does not work well. Inspect pitch angular velocity sensor E 62 01 Steadyshot function does not work well. Inspect yaw angular velocity sensor
The simple solution to fix that error message was to the let the lens fully extend and give the lens a good whack.Possibly this error message for this means, that the auto focus motor was past the maximum set point.
This may sound crazy and this has not happened since I did this but here is what I did to get rid of that error message. I have not had that problem since but here was my steps: • Turn the camera off • Hold the camera face down over a hard surface (Like you are going to take of your desk) with only about half an inch above the surface.
OR reference the video files below for an alternate method. • Turn the camera on • Let the lens extend into the hard surface, don't let it extend all the way. Mine retracted slightly and then tried to extend again (let it extend the second time). • Lift the camera away from the hard surface and notice that the error message is gone. • Take pictures of your favorite things.
Here is the first alternate method (AVI format) Here is the second alternate method (AVI format)
Hope this helps; also keep in mind that your feedback is important and I`ll appreciate your time and consideration if you leave some testimonial comment about this answer.

The systems control board has detected a problem with the auto focus lens, the focus is controlled by a tiny motor that has jammed or there is a mechanical issue with the camera lens. It will require a technician that is highly skilled to deal with the situation, but the repair cost would probably not be justified.
The abnormalities in initialization of the
focus lens and the abnormalities in
initialization of the zoom lens occurred
simultaneously (FOCUS OR ZOOM SECTION NOT WORKING PROPERLY)
Hi, This problem is related to the malfunctioning of zoom motor, Two possibilities are there, 1- If company provides technical help on component leve in your regionl then zoom motor may replace. 2- If component level support is not available then LENS ASSEMBLY must be replaced. Contact your nearest fuji service centre or contact any expert nearby for the specific part replacement. Thanks for using fixya.
I had this error and did two things to fix it and am not really sure which worked, or it may have been both: 1) Charge your batteries or replace with high power (2700) type 2)Is there a bit of dirt stuck between the zoom bit and the body?
With my S1000fd, if I press the on/off while holding the zoom bit so it cannot come out fully, I get the "zoom error" message.
There are several causes for this to happen. 1. The lens assy is out of alignment and stuck; stalling the motor. 2. The motor itself is defect 3. If you can hear the motor working , then it will be a stripped plastic gear between motor drive and lens assy. DIY repair not recommended (possible)
Does the lens extend and retract as normal?
If so then the internal drive gear for the zoom / focus has been damaged and will need to be repaired/ replaced.
If the whole lens will not move or is stuck then it needs to be removed, stripped and re-assembled.
