Chances are that one of the volume buttons (either on the TV itself or on the remote) is stuck. You'll be able to know if it's the remote by taking out its batteries and trying the same process. If the issue persists, see if the volume down button on the TV is stuck and can be freed.

You should find out who does the service for your reciever in your area. This type of fault can get fairly involved. It will require trouble shooting and then ordering the necessary parts.

The fault can be the motor, or the electroncs in the servo drive amplifier for the motor.

SOURCE: Yamaha Rx-v365 trying to program remote for

Press and hold "DTV" then, while holding doen DTV, press power and hold for three seconds. Release both buttons and enter your code. The front panel of the receiver will say "remote setup ok" or "NG" (no good) That being said; while you are in the process of finger acrobatics! make sure your remote is pointing in the general direction of the receiver. Yes, it's a pain, however, once your done, the Yamaha remote is a champ! Hope this helps.

I have a 60" LCD LED Samsung Tv and I am getting static noise/crackling noise that doesn't go away even with the sound off. The only way to get rid of it is to turn the tv off completely.

Using the volume control buttons on the television itself (not the remote) turn the volume all the way down to 0.
Using the volume controls on the Digital box itself.
Turn up the volume until it is at the maximum.
Using the television's volume controls again; raise the volume to a comfortable level.
If you are still experiencing the audio problems on this television, it is possible there is a loose connection on the television.

Help! My Toshiba 26avs02u TVs volume turns itself down to zero when i try to turn it up. How do i fix this problem?

If volume bar is presented continuously, the TV is in a continuous command volume down state. Could be volume down button down stuck on TV, or possibly remote, or some other device capable of emulating a remote is issuing command volume down. Or control logic in TV has failed with this unusual result.

How do i program my remote

Hello;

Without knowing the codes for the specific brand names and models of your devices, this is how you program the Zenith MBR3447 for your TV, VCR, DVD Player, CD Player or Audio Receiver:

TV

1. Push the "Power" button on the TV to turn it on.
2. Press and hold the "PRG" button in the upper left corner of the remote. Release when the indicator light, located in the top center of the remote control, comes on.
3. Push the "TV" mode key located at the top of the remote.
4. Enter 0 -- 0 -- 0 on the remote's number pad, then press the "Enter" button.
5. Aim the remote control in the direction of the TV's IR sensor and push the "Power" button. Pause a second. If the TV fails to shut off, push the "Power" button again. Repeat until the TV does shut off. Each time the "Power" button is pressed the Zenith MBR3447 tries using a different TV device code from its code library to turn the TV off. Therefore, when the TV finally does shut off it's an indication that the remote is temporarily programmed with the correct device code to control the brand of TV you're using.
6. Press "Enter" to save the current code.

VCR

1. Push the "Power" button on the VCR to turn it on.
2. Press and hold the "PRG" button in the upper left corner of the remote. Release when the indicator light, located in the top center of the remote control, comes on.
3. Push the "VCR" mode key located at the top of the remote.
4. Enter 0 -- 0 -- 0 on the remote's number pad, then press the "Enter" button.
5. Aim the remote control in the direction of the VCR's IR sensor and push the "Power" button. Pause a second. If the VCR fails to shut off, push the "Power" button again. Repeat until the VCR does shut off. Then press "Enter."

DVD Player, CD Player or Audio Receiver

1. Push the "Power" button on the device your programming the remote to control to manually turn it on.
2. Press and hold the "PRG" button in the upper left corner of the remote. Release when the indicator light, located in the top center of the remote control, comes on.
3. Push the "AUX" mode key located at the top of the remote.
4. Enter 0 -- 0 -- 0 on the remote's number pad, then press the "Enter" button.
5. Aim the remote control in the direction of the device's IR sensor and push the "Power" button. Pause a second. If the device fails to shut off, push the "Power" button again. Repeat until the device does shut off. Then press "Enter."

Volume/sound will not increase up on my Samsung HL61A650

If the volume indicator appears and respond as you increase the volume but the sound does not respond, there might be a problem on the audio section.Ask for a repairman to check it. If the indicator does not respond, try using manual control instead of using remote control. Also some units have features to turn speaker off or on. Go to menu scan for audio check if it is turned off or on.

TOSHIBA 35a44 Chassis no. TAC 426. The TV volume started to go to 0 all by it self. When this happens the function stays active as if I'm commanding ''Volume Down'' ,(Remote or panel buttons),and no other...

Try to check the pannel and the remote "volume down" buttons - one of them could be stuck in a pressed position.

It usually happens on the remote when dirt or sticky substances accumulate around the rubber buttons - you need to disassemble the remote and clean the rubber pad and the remote housing with some ethyl alcohol and cottonwool, also clean well the holes on the housing where the buttons protrude.

If you also decide to clean the contact tabs on the rubber pad and the circuit board, you should clean them gently to avoid damaging the conductive coating.

I hope this helps somewhat.

Volume is too low.

smith,

good day, not so familiar with this model but try this.

1) try to check in your DVD remote controller if it does have a + and - buttons indicating volume , if does have this features press + button to increase the sound output

2) if remote commander doesn't have this features try accessing the " SETUP" menu. most probably there would be a button in your dvd remote indicating this button "SETUP"

3)once you've access the setup menu, there would be a dialogue box indicating ( Video setup, Audio Setup, display setup, parental lock) insome cases it will show you a display picture of all this menu

navigate the dialogue box and look for "audio setup" once you've access this part there would be options and controls where you can change the volume/audio settings .

cheers,
mark

Connecting samsung home theater to samsung lcd tv and direct tv

Need to get more granular on this, Does the volume work HT remote, for like radio, cd, ipod audio? For you to use the tv audio through the HTB the tv's audio settings should be on the "fixed" output option. This gives a line level to the Amp independant of the tvs volume adhjustment. Otherwise you will need to adjust tvs volume 75% or so before the audio amp will reproduce a good volume. Turn down audio amp prior to making any adjustments. Let me know thx

There could be a cable that is not completely seated inside the set, there may be a software upgrade also that will fix it.
