Error #1203 I have lately got a printer of lexmark F4270 from a friend who didn't use it. it has problem printing, as far as I know, bat all other functions worked fine for him. when I connect the lexmark to power source, I get #1203 error on the screen and the machine is not recognised by the computer when I plug in the USB cable (the driver wasn't installed yet.

Error 1203 is an issue that occurs either when a cartridge is bad or the printer cartridge Slot is bad...

1 - try cleaning the copper contacts of the both carts and cart slot in the printer and try again..
or
2 - when error shows up, shut the printers power off; wait one minute and turn it back on press copy.
