Can I use a Chrysler/Infinity amp with aftermarker JVC radio?

I have a factory Chrysler/Infinity amp from a 2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee (Numbers on amp are 56038407AD and 36670.) Can I use this amp with a JVC model KD-HDR1 aftermarket radio, and if so, are wiring pigtails and wiring diagram available for the amp. Thanks in advance for any help.

It wouldn't be advised unless there are rca connections into the amp. these are the same as the inputs in the back of the jvc. It is possible to connect into an amplifier using speaker cable but i wouldn;t advise doing this unless you know what your doing.

2000 jeep grand cherokee wiring diagram

You have to cut the factory speaker wires on both sides of the amp and solder them together.(bypass the amp) Pull out the factory radio so you can identify the color of the speaker wires or look at the wire colors on the back of the factory speakers.

Infinity gold radio seems to work but cant get any sound

It's really hard to answer a question such as this. There's barely enough information to reach any type of conclusion. What kind of Jeep? Cherokee? Grand Cherokee, Wrangler? Renegade? Liberty? I could just keep going. Maybe it's a Willys 1942? I really don't know. However, based on what little information you've provided I'll give a little answer. Fuse. How's that. No. Wait, if it's an infinity system it has a factory amp. If only I knew which year and model...Hmmm, Cherokee's and Grand Cherokees have them under the back seat. Does yours have a fuse in it? I don't know BECAUSE I DON'T KNOW WHAT YEAR AND MODEL IT IS.

The Radio was manufactured by "INFINITY by Harman".

I have the radio code for my jeep grand cherokee 2000 but i dont know which buttons to press after i have entered the code?

Providing you have the correct code, the numbers are entered directly by pressing the corresponding buttons on the front of the radio...and when the last button is pressed then the radio should then work.

There is no further button required to be pressed to enter the code.

It's not really a problem. I just need to know the color coding of the factory amp to my friends1999 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo. Basically he was so impatient that he had this kid just snip wires not...

I would try to find out who manufactured the amp and try get info from them. If not try searching more on the internet. If it is in a Chrysler or jeep good chance it may be manufactured by infinity.

Why does both of the front door speakers sound so low? I have a 2000 jeep grand cherokee with a infinity gold soung system with a amp under the rear seats.

THE DOOR SPEAKERS ARE MADE TO SOUND LOW FREQUENCY THROUGH THE AMP,(60HZ-500HZ). THIS IS NORMAL. THE REST OF THE SOUND WAVES (500HZ -8000HZ) COME FROM YOUR 2 TOP SPEAKERS ON DASH NEAR WINDSHIELD, 2" TWEETERS.
