SOURCE: Canon MF4150 Duplex Printing Paper Jams

I have just had the same problem on one of these Canon MF4150 machines.
The manufactures warranty on our machine had expired just one week before this happened so I had to fix this myself.
The problem we had (which is very likely to be the same cause as yours) is when we removed some torn jammed paper, it had somehow pulled off a spring from inside the machine. The spring was linked to the paper jam sensor.
It does involve a LOT of work to fix it, and unless you are very 'techy' it may be quite a difficult task to do this for the 'average' person.
I had to completely disassemble the machine: Take off the front first (lift up the cover and there is 2 screws at the front and 2 clips on the bottom of the machine) Then remove the 2sides and finally the top (screws should be easy to see, to get the sides off, un-clip along the front edges and gently move them outwards and slide them backwards to release the clips on the back) being careful with the wires going to the scanner part). Then look for the fuser unit which is near the top at the back, there is a black rounded cover over the fuser. To remove the cover, look for 2 small clips one at each side and unclip the cover and gently lift upwards.  Under the cover on the left side you will see a small plastic rod which goes from the left side to a small tab in the middle, if you look about half way along that rod you should see a tiny spring, make sure this is clipped on properly and that you are able to rotate the rod and it should spring back to the proper position when you let go.
Once this is done, put it all back together again and it should work fine.

I'm sure a lot of other people probably have this same problem too so I hope this helps someone.

SOURCE: Canon MP210 with Mac OS X 10.4.11 problems with printing docs

Hi

I have OS-X 10.4.11 and had the same issue; any printing just spat out blank pages.

I installed the following driver which completely resolved the issue:

http://software.canon-europe.com/software/0029270.asp?model=

There's a similar one for 10.5 that I haven't tested, to be found here:

http://software.canon-europe.com/software/0028432.asp?model=

If you use 10.5 and this driver works for you, please let others know by posting here, too.

Good Luck

SOURCE: Canon MP620 Wireless All-In-One can't print to it

Hi
I had exactly the same problem. Here is how I solved it.

I deleted all the previously installed items (although this might not actually be necessary). Then I re-installed using the 'Easy Instal' option from the CD.

The CRUCIAL part is this: - after you have tested your connection to the printer - and it is all fine - another box should appear with a MAC address for the Scan Twain. Highlight the string of numbers and click APPLY.

THEN THE MOST IMPORTANT BIT - look at page 54 in the set-up guide. And follow the instructions which are:

When the printer utility opens click ADD - then go to 'more printers' select the MP620 with the string of numbers after it. This is the one you want NOT the one that appears automatically when you complete the installation.

make this printer your default and away you go! That should work as it has for me and i have been pulling my hair out on this for about 3 weeks!

SOURCE: I have and Canon iR3570 and when SNMP is disabled

It's possible that the SNMP Status Enabled box is checked on the print server (Printer/Properties/Ports/Port Settings). When you disabled SNMP or changed the community name on the printer, the server was no longer getting status updates and so flagged it as offline. Make sure the community names match.

Hi,

please restart your computer and attempt to print again. If this does not work, please email excel file to a computer with a more up-to-date operating system (ie Windows 10) and then try to print again.

Thank you.

My computer will not send a signal to my printer ,there for it will not print;

Dear User,
Kindly share the following details and try some steps of troubleshooting as I suggest below,
Info :
What is the OS (Operating System, windows, Mac, Linux, etc)
What is the file type you are trying to print (word, excel, pdf, etc)
Is this HP printer assigned as a default printer (you can see it on the print preview box)
Troubleshooting :
1. Try making this printer as a default printer - Right click & make as default in the Printer and faxes option under control panel.
2. Try printing a random word document
3. Try with another machine if you have one at home

Let us know further

I cant connect my acer iconia tab with canon printer MP258

Press START - Control Panel - Printers and Faxes - double-click Printers and Faxes. Perform checks on:

1. The printer must be in a position Set as Default Printer (see picture)
2. Status = Ready (see picture)
3. Docs = 0. If there is a number 1 or 2 or 3, cancel all the print command, by the way: double-click the Canon MP250 Printer series - click Printer - click Cancel All Documents
4. The printer must be in a position online (see picture)

When I am trying to print a file, at least from Microsoft Word, on my Canon PIXMA MX850 printer, the default option that comes up is now the Fax Setting rather than the Printer setting. This was not...

Go to Printers and Faxes and right click on your printer. Select Properties from that menu. One of the properties says something like set as Default Printer.

My Canon MX860 always defaults to FAX not PRINT

Use your operating system to choose the printer rather than the driver.
For Windows XP, go Start, Settings, Printers and Faxes. Right click on the printer and choose Set as Default Printer.

We try to print something and the fax pops up wanting a fax address we have never used the fax I have a Canon MP530

the default is set to fax instead of printer. go to control panel. printers and faxes, then you will see "fax" and "printer", i think you will see a check on fac meaning it is the default printer.
Right click on printer, choose default and your problem should be solved.

if u have problems finding the above then you can find something to print, choose print from the file tab, a box will open and it has a drop down menu with the fax and the printer, click on the printer!
hope this helps!

Printer keeps defaulting to fax option

You have set the default printer to the Fax option.
Firstly, you could use the drop down menu where the Printer is displayed (when you go to print), and select the "regular" printer as opposed to the 'fax printer".
To set the default permanently to the laser printer....go to "printers and faxes" in 'control panel'. You will see a "check mark" next to the 'Canon MX 300 Fax' (or whatever it is called) identifying it as default. You want to put the 'check' next to the "regular printer" (whatever it is called)....'right click' on it, then "left click' on "set as default". Now when you go to print anything, it will just print.
