no it wont according to the manual if you have the ch-x550 cd changer
they did do a revision of this unit an changer that does play mp3 files but dont think the cd changer is compatable with the ks-fx222 unit

The devices you specified here; JVC-CH-X400 and JVC KS-FX222E are non-compactable.

try disconnecting the changer for a few hours and see if it will reset itself.

hi my names josh so you have a 12 disc changer with a factory radio with an RF modulator hmmm well i could definely see that being your problem right there. usually your best shot is always a strait connection from and after market reciever to your changer without that RF modulator in line. That being said since your signal RF out to the changer is giving you your sound its very posible you would need to use a ground loop isolator to eliminate that noise. it would plug line out from the modulator going to the changer and in most cases provides a stable ground in the line which is most cases is the problem in your case i would be willing to bet thats yours.

Are you using the remote to accomplish the power on
Check the fuses again it may be that the fuse in broken
2. To check some fuses you will need a meter to see if they Ohms reading if so the fuse is bad. Usually a fuse will read infinity if it good.
2. there may be a coupling capacitor on the main board that has become weak in the power section of the circuit board,
3. Also check all connector on the main board they could be intermittently connected
4. if you have power then a connector may come disconnected such a the ribbon cable to the power switch.
5. there also may be a diode or led that has blown that is in line with the power switch will not allow power to the switch for the disc player.
6. Voltage check at these points will tell if you are getting dc power from the transformer to the switch.

I have no solution but the same problem and wish to solve it asap.
Anyone would you please help
If anyone has a JVC 12 cd's changer CH-X350 and also had the same problem (radio says when you wish to hear cd's : Reset 2), would you please tell.
