While the set is on does the picture and sound come on well, If so the fault is relative to the output stages, look for components heating up, dry soldering due to this heat cutting off the connection.
However if there is no picture or sound then the fault is in the processor , a test on voltages on diffferent cicuits must be checked when the set shuts down. This will indicate the defficient voltage , possible in the power or output board.
your main power assembly has blown a heat sink
the board runs around 2-300 and unless your very good with electronics, I would call a repait man...
Check your labor costs and add that to board cost
if you look around you might find a good guy that can get it done in just a few minuts and less than a hundred.. I live in Mass and 79.00 is my hourly labor for this repair..
Sounds like you have a jammed / shorted out button on the control panel... Try un-plugging the tv, and then unplug the "button panel" on the front of the tv...see if you can turn the tv on with the remote. Sometimes if one of the buttons gets shorted, it will "lock" the processor from doing ANYTHING else, as it thinks you are holding down the defective button. If this works, simply have the defective switch or control panel replaced, or just leave it unplugged and use the remote only! Hope this helps!
