Can i use 2 diff brands of RAM simultaneusly 1gb corsair ddr2 667 and 1gb transcend ddr2 800 for P965T-A

Maybe 1GB is the maximum amount of memory that your system will hold. And maybe your system likes memory to be in pairs, so when you put the 1GB in by itself it didn't work, but when you put it in with a 512MB it works.

That will work for your computer. There is no problem with that if you are going to add the DDR2-667 into the motherboard together with the DDR2-800 with a different brand name. But you should know this, adding different frequency memory modules will make the motherboard chose the lowest frequency of the two memory modules. In your situation, the memory reading of your computer will be DDR2-667 frequency. The two memory modules frequency should match in order for them to work. DDR2-800 will be downgraded to frequency 667 in order to match your DDR2-667 2GB zion ram.

Go to the manufacturers website and see how much it costs there. It's good to get your parts from the makers so you know for sure that it will fit and is compatible.

As long as the RAM speeds/specs are the same, this should not be an issue. The most likely culprit here is faulty RAM :(

Have you tried removing the Kingston RAM completely, and trying to run off only the Transcend RAM?

If this does not work, then its almost certain that the Transcend RAM is faulty. If it does work, then the issue must lie elsewhere.

try maybe theres a problem in memory compatibility...dude first try to put same memory card brand and specs

refer to you manual for type of ram your motherboard support,for brand you can choose from Kingston,Transcend,corsair

yes there might be a problem you will encounter, first, if you purchase with wrong specifications, 2nd you should be ready with the erros that will appear like the memory dumping and so on, 3rd are you familiar with the location. if you will purchase you should remove and present your existing ram so that this will be their reference with the specifications
