Question about Maytag LSE7806A Top Load Stacked Washer/Dryer
There was at first a burning belt smell that preceeded the spin cycle non operation, which I assume might be the reason why the spin cycle no loger spins nor the water which will not drain. How would I take apart the two untis and replace the neccessary washing machine belt and or clear any debree in order to effect a fix? This is the seconf time in two years that this has happened and I was not around to watch the last costly repair, done. Sincerely, G.

Check to see if it is a pump problem or a transmission problem. First remove both belts see if all the pullys turn freely. if the pump has a tight feel check inside pump for a item jammed in it.look for transmission oil on floor or belts if oil is present transmmision if probably going.ALSO check at the top of the tubs for anything stuk in between tubs.

SOURCE: burned belt?
Yes, smell like your belt.. if there is water in tub, try to get it out... (wet vac)... slide your washer out and tilt it back so you can see under... there should be 2 belts.. 1 for gear and 1 for water drain pump... and you can check Sears.com for parts.. good luck...
