I'm not sure you need any software to actually view camera pictures on xp, though there are many programs made for managing and embellishing pictures once you get them loaded into your computer's memory. Please
go to this link for a general exposition of xp digital camera use.
Then connect your camera to your computer, and follow
these instructions to download the photos into a file somewhere. (Maybe you want to create a folder in your My Pictures folder entitled Canon photos or something like that, just to keep them straight.) If you don't get an option to open the camera wizard, you can start it manually by going
to control panel>scanners and cameras>add a camera and the wizard should find your camera plugged in and start the download process...you can browse to the folder you created to have it store your photos there, or use the default. Once they're downloaded, you can access your photos using windows explorer.
But there are also a couple of great image viewer available as freeware: I can recommend both FastStone Image Viewer
available here and Irfan View
(available here)Have fun, and don't worry about that red eye!
I hope this information allows you to resolve this issue. If you need further assistance, please post back with a comment to this thread.
If I've managed to answer your question or solve a problem, please take just a moment to rate this post....thanks!
Thanks for response, but that's not the problem. Image zone plus was working, isn't now. Same camera etc before and after problem occurred. Applied new Mcafee updates and also automatic Windows updates. Could these be causing problem? We downloaded pictures from card to "MY PICTURES" folder. Image zone plus doesn't see the new folder.
can you have a nightly rental in a zone R-2 home?
