On my DELL Deminsion E110 the video downloads are sporadic and jerky, but audio is good

Had my RAM increased from 512 mb to 1.25 gb by the GEEK SQUAD. It improved the speed for about 3 days. However, for the last 2 days all video downloads (mostly YOUTUBE stuff is sporadic and jerky. However all the audio is just fine. It's as if the video is trying to catch up with the audio.

Audio is easy...requires little ram to operate. Video today needs 2 GIGABITS or more for VIDEO. A lot depends in the Motherboard Processor also. If it is old, the main processor is no doubt slow. High speed internet is faster than some computer speeds and thus the computer is trying to buffer (catch up) which causes means conditions to occur. Lag time with Video is one problem.
Windows operating system is another. Win 8-10 are ok, but older OS's are slow. THEN we have a Video Card problem. Old cards require new drivers to keep up with changes. Some old Video is slow because the VIDEO RAM is too slow and old. Solution = a New 2018 Computer

SOURCE: My computer shuts down after 3 secs

Try to separate the power cord of your monitor from your system or maybe if your using UPS(uninterrupted power supply) directly plug the UPS to the wall outlet. either you can use pretty voltage regulator to the regulate the AC power.
if not solve the problem try to examine the your system power supply.

Happy Holidays,
Sometimes is difficult to accept the reality of technology, but is happend, there is no 512 RAM video for this particular PC, but you can found for 256 ram, yet from Nvidia or Radeon taste.
PCI-E is eating the market.

SOURCE: upgrading ram in a dell 5150 do I need to install

you have 4 memory connectors. the maximum memory the computer supports is 4 GB. it is recomended that you install in pairs, for some reasons, but i have installed and i have seen it doesnot matter at all. you can go ahead and install the memory for whatever size on the computer. make sure the bus speed should be either 400 or 533 MHZ. and yoou never explained the error message. when you upgrade the ram you will get a message the system memory has changed press f1 to continue or f2 for setup just press f1. if the error message is in windows after you click on your name it has nothing to do with your memory. if its before that. than try to reseat the memory. installing memory in non pairs doesnot cause any problem most of the time. explain the error message only than i can guide you furthur.

Is there a way the memory in a toshiba satellite 1005-s157 be increased to more than 512MB?

Yes you can, at least to 1 Gb maybe possibly to 2 Gb.
There will be two memory slots in your laptop. To increase the RAM to 1 Gb install another 512 Mb RAM module in the empty 2nd memory slot. Make sure you use the same make and speed RAM as the one that is installed.
If you have two 256 Mb RAM modules installed in your laptop then you need to replace the two 256 Mb RAM modules with two 512 Mb RAM modules to get a total of 1 Gb RAM.

I have a DELL with XP-Home Edition - version 2002 service pack 3, Intel(R) - Pentium(R) 4cpu 2.66ghz, 2.66ghz, 512 MB of RAM My daughter plays games and has 24 of them in the computer - she tells me I...

Hello, Jim.

Dell's official position is that the maximum memory for this PC is 1 GB. But, it may be able to support 2 GB, per Intel's specs.

But, to answer your question - yes - you can increase your memory amount to 1 GB. Since the system has 2 memory slots, you could conceivably have (2) 512KB modules (total 1 GB). If your system already has 1 module of 512 KB, you could add another. Just be certain it's the same type and speed.

Or, you could have a 1 GB module.

I don't think that your computer's life is in jeopardy, but additional memory always helps the speed of your computer.

Hope this helps.

I have a dimension 4100, and only have 512 in ram because it only has 2 slots, is there any way to use a bigger stick to increase ram?

Yes, if only one slot is being used you can install another 512 MB of ram which will give you 1024 MB or 1GB. If both slots have 256 MB in each one then you will need to just buy a 1GB strip of Ram. Go to the link I am posting and let them scan your computer. They will tell you exactly what you can install and the price. This is a site I use all the time and it is reputable and safe with good prices. This will require a download of the scanning tool which is safe. Allow the download. http://www.crucial.com/

Getting access to bios in Dell Inspiron 1300

No, The amount of RAM the integrated video uses is dynamically adjusted depending on the loading of the video and the total amount of RAM installed.

If less than 512 MB RAM, the video is limited to 64MB, 512 to 2 GB max video RAM is 128 MB.

If you want to upgrade RAM to improve performance, check the link below:
