    hello. i have a wintel tv and it has a blue screen with a red padlock in the bottom left hand corner. plz tell me how i can get it working again.

try this with the tv off simultaneously press and hold volume minus on the tv's front panel and clear on the remote control for 5 seconds then enter a new password good luck

Blue screen and red padlock
It sounds to me like a child lock function, which is usually what the screen + padlock is on TVs. Usually your original remote would have a button / sequence to unlock the mode. If you still have your original remote, look for a child lock button or refer to your remote manual (and/or TV manual for the child lock feature) to unlock the mode.
