I have a Panasonic PT40LC12 that does not come on

Once I hit the on/stanby button, the lite continues to blink and nothing comes on the screen. I notice that that fan in the front does not come on. I know it not the lamp. Please help

SOURCE: panasonic TV shuts off after a couple minutes

Good day!!!!

That problem is usually cause of faulty capacitors on the power supply board..

Just follow this instruction to fix your TV..

1. Open the back cover of your TV.
2. Look at the power supply board..Its normally connected to the power cord..
3. After that,,try to look at the actual image of capacitors if it is bulged on the top so that you can easily determine the bad capacitors..
4. After that,,try to replaced the bad capacitors using soldering iron and soldering lead..replaced the capacitors only with the same type ratings and value..
5. Some of the capacitors not bulged so its better if have a capacitance meter

Testimonial: "information was helpful but turns out it may be a cracked bulb, I'll know for sure when it comes in."

How do i fix a flatscreen with no sound or no picture

These blinks [flashes] are fault indication (Error Codes). From the number of blinks occur at one time switch ON, you can get an idea about the faulty circuit section inside it. This will make repair easy. These are called blinking codes. Make sure about the exact number of blinking of the standby/power LED, by switching On & OFF the set, for at least two times. Count it carefully. If you wish to get some details, check the site linked here. It has details about blinking codes, and fault locating procedure, to many popular brand TVs and other devices.

If blinks continue without any pause, the main board is faulty.
Search the site by type in the "brand name" to your device, in the "Search box at the top right of the display window of the Homepage" to get gathered related posts.

Tv is in stanby mode. when i turn on power it seems like it wants to start but nothing comes up on screen. stanby light is blinking

The problem is in the main board of the tv, it is either a power supply issue or a high voltage problem. In order to isolate you will need a tv tech to check the set out and cost involved.
