I purchased the dual brite motion sensing lights and put two of them on my garage, i wired them from a switch to either side of the door on one circuit allowing them to be individual sensors but i keep getting a very faint light all day when it should be shut off, any reason why when i put them in master/slave mode this doesn't happen but when i try keeping them seperate on the same circuit one always gives me a faint light when it is supposed to be off, i have returned the fixture three times and the first one worked for a week, the second was wrong off the start and the third one now was good for two days. Is it equipment failure or am i gonna have to wire it to dual master to make it work for what i need. The master/slave configuration is a waste of money for the second motion sensor.

i have the master behind the house so coming up the driveway it doesn't turn on soon enough, to make the slave the master i would have to rewire everything, i am useing normal bulbs. I might have to rewire anyways if i go with dual master

Are you using fluorescent bulbs? I had the same problem in my stairway/hallway till I switched to master/slave. Why don't you want master/slave? What's the diff?

I think each switch allows a certain amount of current to pass...with one switch, it's not enough to light the bulb; two switches, you get a faint light.

What's the make and model #'s of your fixtures and your switches? Could you draw up a schematic of how you're wired it and email it to me? badenhop at guam dot net. Let me see what I can figure out for you.

Lights flash on and off

Very common issue with motion sensing lights. You can either replace the light sensor which is available at most hardware stores or you can disable the motion sensing feature and just have an on-off light. To disable the sensor, (turn off the power!) unscrew and remove the light sensor (it is the reposition-able box under the light.) It depends on the particular light, but you usually just match up the wire coming into the light from the house and the wire from the bulbs and connect them with a wire-nut.

Installation instructions for a Cooper Wiring Devices OS310U-W-K Motion-Activated Occupancy Sensor Wall Switch, White

LED bulbs with leaking motion sensors tend to flicker as well, more so than CFL. I switched to Cooper style - but now my Cooper OS310u will sense motion - and keep sensing motion almost all the time. If it's in test mode - it will shut off but otherwise it keeps sensing it. This is in a garage - and door open or closed does not seem to affect it. I have the same unit working in my basement just fine.

suggestion - don't try LEDs to solve the problem and yes - it will burn out your CFLs real fast.

Cannot get light to go on and then off at programmed time. Stays on. At cottage with no neighbours or ambient light. Installed professionally, not by myself. Frustrated many efforts before contacting...

Light stays on all the time: Turn power to light off. Wait 10 seconds. Turn power back on.
Typical option on motion lights: Quick power flick -- light stays on. Slow power flick -- light goes into motion sensing mode.
Hopefully the professional installer gave you a switch.

The wires going to the wall control are color coded. One of them is white and the other is white with a red stripe. Make sure they are attached to the correct terminals at the motor unit and on the back of the wall control.

How can I disconnect the motion detector on the Chamberlain 3/4 HPS Whisper Drive Plus Belt Drive Garage Door Opener with EverCharge

There is a button on the side of the wall-mounted remote. It has a pic of light bulb next to it. Press it once - the motion sensor is on and the lights will be on once it senses the motion; press it again and the motion sensor will be off.

Flood light has faint glow at all time

Sounds like you have the Dual Brite on, the dual brite is low level accent lighting. Check to see if you have this switched on, if so turn it off.
