Sony mp3 player model no.NWZ S616F - screen frozen

The same thing happened with my s616f and I just fixed it today. Connect your walkman to the computer to charge it then when the blue screen pops up heres gonna be that blue line going across the screen(the thing that shows that its loading) then while its loading press and hold the back/home and the option/pwr off buttons until it turns on. Hope it works:)

try pushing the reset button this wont delete anything
if it wont come on plug in to charge then see what happens

What you can do is to just let the battery die out so the device would reboot itself after you charge it.

try reseting it by presing the tiny button near the USB port.

Here is a link to instructions. I found my fix for frozen S616F was to use the Reset feature. It requires inserting a small pointed object in the hole at bottom of device.

I had the same problem. I had not had any problems for months and suddenly it wouldn't connect. I got on live chat w/ Sony (3 times) and finally got someone who seemed to know what they were doing. I have a Sony computer and they had to send me a link for a USB "patch". After downloading it, it fixed it.

I had the same problem. Don't buy a new cord. There is a sony place in winnipeg you can get it fixed there.

hi mine freezes too when i try to open my photos on the walkman. but mine did work using the reset button, you might want to return it if you have receipt, if not you still got 1 year warranty with sony.you can also try connecting the player to the computer to see if it turns on and charges. thanx
