Disc reading display

Have you tryed to clean it wit a lens cleaner. Sounds like just needs a good cleaning.

Disc shows loading then error on all dvd disc

Put a cd in the dvd player if it is marked that it plays cds... if it plays the cd your dvd laser is shot... cheaper to get a new unit. if it doesn't play a cd try cleaning the laser. and last but not the last thing try unplugging it for a short time then plug it back in... if nothing works get the one tool that fixs most everything...... take it to office depot and they can recycle the stuff inside and help keep the earth green...then onto wally world.

Take, if good batteris from the remote controller and recycel the unit, and by a better one. I have the same problem, recordings will stay on the dvd only a short thime readable and later the disk is empty.

My 14" dvd combi player wont read any disc i put in. The only thing that happens is that the main screen says reading disc then about 1 minute later is says please insert a playable disc. I have tried...

The optics can not read the disc. Try cleaning the lens inside using a cotton swab and alcohol. Also try playing a music CD. If the CD plays but a DVD continues to fail, the opticsl will need to be replaced. Depending upon the specific model, this could cost anywhere from $50-$120.

My tv dvd combi 21pt6820/05

These units use a belt for the loading mechanism. If the belt slips at all, the loading will not complete and lock. This will prevent the unit from reading the disc. Try loading a music CD. If hte CD plays ok, then the optics assembly is in need of at least a cleaning or replacement.

Try a lens-cleaning DVD. If the problem persists, the internal drive will probably have to be replaced.
