Q: What should I do if the audio is distorted or drops out on my UE BOOM?
A: Audio distorted or dropping out when streaming to UE BOOM
If you're having trouble with audio distortion or drop-outs on your UE BOOM, try these suggestions:
Move the audio source closer - it might be out of the range of your speaker.
Move away from other sources of wireless signal - you could be experiencing interference.
Make sure your speaker has enough battery power (connect it to a power source with the supplied adapter).
Adjust the volume on both the audio source and your speaker.
Restart both your speaker and the audio source.
Re-pair your device with your speaker (see, "How do I pair additional Bluetooth® devices with my speaker?").
If you're using two UE BOOM speakers (for Double Up), try disconnecting and streaming to one speaker only.
NOTE: If you're streaming audio content from the internet, the issue could be with the internet connection and not your speaker.
If your shelf system is not producing sufficient clean audio power you'll get distortion, which can kill a speaker faster than excessive clean power. Muffling is something else altogether. Are the tweeters working?
Un hook all your speakers that the deck is powering and hook them up one by one sounds like u have a shorted speaker or wire and the unit is going into protection. The best way to chk the speakers and wires is with an ohm meter . Check each speaker wire to ground and across the speaker and see iof you have any shorts. The next step woulk be to remove the unit and have it bench tested.
Make sure center speaker is connected.Look in owners manual to reset, unit might be in an incorrect surround mode.If listening to a stereo source, take it out of surround.
The speakers sound all good because you said "the speakers" are muffled .....it sounds like a problem on the board.....a capacitor a resister but its fixable....unfortunately only by a repairman
