I have a problem with my envision L37W698 37" TV. When any of the buttons on the TV are pressed it opens up the main menu and none of the buttons are functional. The only way I am able to operate the TV is using an AT&T remote. If volume button is pressed on the remove it again opens up the main menu and the dialog box does not go away. The only way to get the box off is to switch off and then on the TV using the remote. There is no other display problems with the TV. Can someone please help me with a solution to this problem?
SOURCE: Controls Don't Work
I have this EXACT SAME problem with my Insignia 26" LCD TV. I was three weeks out of warranty when it happened and Insignia wouldn't do anything to help me. I brought it to three repair shops and each repairman said that they couldn't guarantee they could fix it even IF they got the right parts. Anyhow, the TV repairman had it for three months (getting parts shipped from Asia, repair time, etc.) and he couldn't fix it. He also told me that tons of other people have the issue and that Insignia is replacing their TVs under warranty. So, if your TV is still under warranty, call Insignia. You just have to pay for shipping and shipping insurance. Hope this helps!

Pressing i+ button (bottom left on the original remote) for 5+ seconds worked for me...
SOURCE: Acer AT3201W LCD TV
I repaired my Acer by replacing the power supply from
http://www.power-on.com/lcd323-4m.html - $85
Acer would not sell me a replacement power supply.
Note: I needed to solder wires the new power supply to the old one,
the pinouts on the connectors on the new one would not fit the original.
SOURCE: DELL LCD TV locked up w/screen message "main menu locked"
without a remote and disabled keypad keys, the only other option, is to open the unit up a physically RESET the TV. remove the cables from the power board. i believe it has a phillips head screw. careful when you separate the rear cover from the front cover. there is a board screwed in the lower right corner, there is a connecter and a ground cable screwed to the rear cover. take your time prying on the rear cover. once you separated the two pieces, look for the light yellow board with your AC power source. Unplug it for 30 minutes and repeat the process. while your at it, also look down to the lower left side of the monitor. u should be able to see the keypad. press each button, while pressing, look to see if the button is pressing against the circuit board. it may be loose, try this test, u just may be able to fix your keyboard as well. hope this works out.
SOURCE: Panasonic remote and volume/channel buttons do not work
My son put a penny in the SD card slot of my Pansonic flat screen tv. I finally got the penny out but now the volume and tv controls do not work. I can change the channels through my cable box but that is it. The volume does not work on my cable remote or the flatscreen. What do you suggest I do to fix this problem?? Thanks, Josh
