might be dirty, get a can of air, from like home depot, office max, etc. turn off laptop, take out battery, turn upside down and blow the air underneath the spacebar, this should fix your problem. If not you need a new space bar.
Some laptops will wake from hibernation by touching the keypad, moving the mouse, pressing any key, pressing enter or the space bar. Some laptops will wake when you press the power button. You'll think it's rebooting, but when you look it will say Resuming Windows.
No Sound? Check your drivers, check the volume level and make sure you don't have the sound muted. You can also check your Audio and Sound properties in the device manager or control panel. If you see the megaphone at the bottom right near the time, you can right click on it to get properties.
Try reseting the TV, if still doing the same contact your retailer for a Repair.
To reset Toshiba TV:

For the Anti-Theft Passcode if you forgot yours - Turn to player on. Make sure the screen is out. Press and HOLD the MUTE button. While holding the MUTE button, press and HOLD the POWER button. (Should be holding them both down at this time.) After about 12 seconds a new passcode screen should come up. Release the MUTE and POWER buttons. Type in 122164. Press OK. Your passcode is now reset to 0000.

I can't help I'm afraid but I have the same problem and assume that it just doesn't come with sound? I have made sure that the mute option isn't on, but the very fact that it has a mute option makes you think it really should have sound enabled. Yet even downloaded onto the pc there is no sound. Very annoying. What's the point of having a movie option if you can't hear anything?
Heyo, the fan needs to be cleaned. Your environment air may be the culprit...if that is the case, I am sure the space bar is doing that for the same reason. If you can afford to take it to the shop to have the shell taken off and cleaned properly, I would do it.
i had the same problem, did you solved that ?
