I would say this is almost certainly a faulty charger. Ideally you should either test the charger if you have a voltmeter, or borrow a compatible charger to test. Once you have determined that it is the charger at fault you can replace it for less than £10/$15 (ebay for example).

you will not see the date and time on the thumbnail. look at the photo in full screen. make sure part of the photo is not "cropped" by checking to see if the arrows appear at the bottom and right. I bet the date & time is there, you are not seeing it.
