V3I, light turns on and then goes off. Unable to charge.

I am unable to charge my v3i by the USB port as well as by a normal charger. The green light comes on, and goes off. I don't know what to do. Do help.

    Yes the phone switches on for only few seconds and then turns itself off.

    It is connected to the charger so no question of low battery

    this is a common symptom of a bad battery so check that first, if you know someone who has the same phone swap batteries and see if the problem follows the battery and your phone works with their battery.

The phone usb needs to be either clean or replaced so take them to a repair center and have them service.

MOTOROLA V3I
The charge port on the phone has probably become damaged from normal use. Visually inspect it to see if it is. If it is not, the pins that connect to the circuit board on the inside can break off of the board. They can be soldered back on but it does take some practice since they are very small. These ports can normally be bought on ebay for a couple dollars.

What you are describing is that there is an issue with the USB charging port on your V3i. Different pins are used when charging via the wall as opposed to via a USB computer port. It really is quite common with the V3i, you can search on the internet to get your port repaired. If you cannot find anyone, feel free to ontact me, outlet3g in the repair directory.

Battery
If you tried to make a charger you could have damaged the Pinout or even the charging port on the phone however 99% of the time this common error with razrs is fixed by trying a different battery and or a different charger.

connect your phone to the system through usb. if it starts charging then its not the problem with the phone or battery. its a problem with the charger. now also if it does not charde, then it must be a problem with the phone. take it to the nearest motorolla service centre and fix it.

When we connect the phone to PC it automatically start charging but after 5 mins it stops its because we do not take any kind of action i.e. if you will send some files to phone or will operate phone from PC it will keep charging otherwise as you have said it will stop.
