SOURCE: cant remove the pump to change a belt

I ended up breaking the pump. I found that there is no real trick, it just gets stuck on sometimes. I worked on removing it very carefully for a couple hours but in the end the plastic cracked and needed replaced. The pump cost me $48 to replace and then the rest was easy

Timer knob not working

You will need to replace the timer. Here is the part you need to order.
To replace, remove the back cover of the console, remove the knob, unplug the timer and be sure that you have the unit unplugged from the wall before making any repairs!

The part comes with a 365 day, any part, any reason return policy.

Amana Washer LWA50AW doesn't spin

Ifi t does not spin it may be the timer. Try it in the delicate cycle to see what happens. Actually try all teh cycles to see if it spins in one of them. IF so it most likely is the time and is a 15minute job to replace.
