Look for largest heatsinks on chassis.Easiest and best procedure is to pull the chassis, replace IC's,solder any /all bad

connects, esp. the solid metal jumpers that deliver B+ to IC's.

Re-assemble,test.Reset convergence.

Unable to find a network on my un60es7500 samsung tv

I had the same problem - The Samsung tech came in and said that the WiFi card needs replacing. The part itself (Part # BN59-01148B) is about $65 and is pretty straight-forward to install. Once you open the back of the TV, its like a computer motherboard, where the the WiFi card sits in a slot towards the bottom. You can find pictures of the inside on google.

All Sony sets have a duplicate label or labels inside the set; this would require unplugging the set and removing the back.

Older projection sets have for the most part model numbers beginning with KP (like KP 57ws500) and the newer ones have KDF etc.

If the white label on the back cannot be read you will have to open set and look for duplicate labels inside----much like cars where the vin number is in several places.

My Slyvania tv/vcr has an old tape stuck in it. It wont come out and it shuts the tv off too. Any suggestions?

The tape film has been coiled with its VCR mechanism parts and prevents the mechanism to shut OFF properly. This situation will be sensed by the main system control IC of your TV and it will shut the whole system OFF. That is happening now. To rectfy this, you have to open the unit and take out all the coiled tape film from the mechanism. In fact, the set should be deassembled as a whole. If you hav enough tools to do it, you can do it by yoursef. There is no components to be replaced. Only remove this coilde film from the mechanism OK.

Have a Toshiba TV/VCR combination, auto clock set. Also says MV13MS. The video casette is stuck inside. will not eject. How to open and retrieve is my problem. do you have instruction?

Opening any unit is dangerous as there is nice Voltage that will not go your way. But on this model you need to pop off the back and access the bottom over witch is a flipped situation. There is not really any step by step if you got a screw driver its basically your friend here, You need to open the back cover and remove it to access the rest the VCR is on the bottom of the unit and that is what needs to be accessed. When in doubt here seek a local tech because anything that has to to with online will be limited on Do SEE Do's But my first recommendation is to stay away from any deflection boards and the flyback transformer. Lets get the back off first and let me know if you have any additional questions after that.

First off you should disconnect the battery to prevent blowing any fuses.
Then remove the inside door panel to give you access to the parts.
Nine out of ten times as soon as you get the panel off so you can see inside the problem is evident. A good flashlight can help.
Take any bad parts to the parts counter guy and get replacements.
Re-install, put the panel back on, and reconnect the battery. You should be set to go then.
Check your shop manual to see if your car's computer is a type affected by disconnecting the battery and follow their recommended steps.

TV Remote control

The IR reciever should be in the front of the set where the remote IR window is located.

I can tell you that there is a lot more that can go wrong than just the IR reciever. There may be a buffer amp along the way to the uPC, or there may be a fault with the uPC itself. The fault may also be a cold solder connection, or a missing supply voltage to the the IR reciever or to some of the components involved in the IR signal process.

In opening and working on your set, there are serious safety issues involved. You should be giving the set out to a trained and experienced TV tech for proper and reliable service.

KV 27S65 Sony Trinitron 27"

So far you have done all you can and you have done everything right. The fact that the TV turned off by itself and then turned back on by itself suggests that one or more solder joints have come loose inside the set. A qualified tech should find this easy to fix, and Sony sets are always worth repairing, so it is now time to have the set serviced by a tech experienced in Sony standard sets.
