So my truck's battery died b/c I bought it from a guy who put a battery that was too small in the truck. So I took it to WalMart and they started it using Semi truck's Jumper cables. Now when I turn the car on the radio doesn't respond at all, no buttons work. The only response I get from it is 5 beeps after I turn the car off.

I have the DEH-1200MP model super tuner 3 and it would not power up after battery died and was jumped. There is a fuse at the back of the stereo that I unplugged and plugged back in and then the stereo powered up. I had already checked all of the other fuses. Took me a while to figure this out.
The pioneer has a small protection fuse in the back of the radio, alot of time when it catches a power spike, it will blow to protect the head unit. It should be plugged in the back of the radio under the main plug. Hope this helps.
Have you checked the fuse at the back of the head unit. You will need to extract the head unit from the slot. There is a small blade fuse near to where the wiring harness connects to the back of the unit. Check it to see if it has blown. It normally is a red 10amp fuse. Also check your main fuse board.
Please let me know what kind of car you have (year/make/model). Check the fuse in the back of the radio, it should be right there when you unplug the wire harness going into the back. If it's blown, you probably have a shorted speaker. Also check the fuse boxes in the car, under the dash and under the hood. If this does not help, give me some details about the problem. There are many things that can keep a cd player from turning on, I just gave you the things it most likely is.
