Voice recorder won't play back sound

I can record on the voice recorder. I can download the audio file from the SD card, but when I push the play button on the recorder nothing happens. I checked the speaker setting on the recorder and it is set to on.

SOURCE: Recordings play but skip every other second

you either don't have enough space on your computer for it to find the file and replay it(computers don't record in one solid track ,they take pieces and store them where ever they can. This is why its not good to defrag your comp. once you start a project) or you need to increase your buffer

SOURCE: Tascam Us144 and Sonar3 problem!!!!

Try this experiment:  Record a click track on track #1.  Record track #2 of the output of a monitor speaker playing track #1.
Now you have two click tracks which will probably not be cooincident (like they should be).
Measure the offset of the two tracks!  You now know your latency exactly, and can compensate by adjusting settings or moving the vocal track back manually that many milliseconds!

Hi there,
It sounds like it maybe an asio problem or latencey issue. You need to increase the latencey in the control panel of your tascam soundcard and this should hopefully cure you .

SD Card Write Speed Too Slow

Hey Jack! Certainly you've found a solution by now but maybe some poor soul is seeking the solution like I was.I had my Pockettrax CX saying "Memory Full" although I'd deleted everything. What helped finally: I formatted the SD. Now I've got all the memory back. Don't know if that would help the recording speed. but maybe. IMPORTANT: SAVE ANY FILES on your LAPTOP before formatting the SD.Here's how to format the SD:Go to Menu.Click on "Common Menu"Scroll down until you get to "Format"Press "Yes""Formatting SD" comes up and, Voila,You've got more space.

Hi, All Folders are locked and if you try to record its says READ ONLY CARD? I have 1 sound file on the card which i need. It won't play on the computer system either?

The memory has been corrupted. You will need to reformat the memory from the menu in order to use that memory card again. This will erase all files.
If you need to recover the file, download a free recovery program called pc inspector smart recovery, from http://www.snapfiles.com/get/smartrecovery.html

How to recover erased file from panasonic digital recorder

Hi, there

First things first: DO NOT take any more videos or audio with the recorder that you want to recover files from in case you may quite possibly ruin your chances of voice memo file recovery.

Then connect your recorder to a PC with a recovery program installed. Photo Recovery Software (also recover Voice memos, audio and video files) is right what you need to use if you are running Windows. If you are Mac OS X users, turn to Data Recovery for Mac.

But you should remember - the more you use your recorder, the less likely you may be able to recover the deleted files back! So STOP using the device ASAP. Best regards!

My Diasonic 5300 should also play MP3. My users manual is useless. I can download and sync the files, but I can't get them to play. The machine reads "no files." What am I doing wrong?

You probably are trying to use MP3's that are use DRM - Digital Rights Management. You need to use any mp3's that do not contain DRM, such as an mp3 that you created yourself from ripping a CD.

Sound blaster conflict

Wow I have an audigy card and a Olympus and never had that problem before.

Goto soundblaster.com and make sure the audigy drivers are updated. There is an update to the olympus software available on their website as well.

If the volume is up too high on your recorder when it is playing back, it may shut the speakers down as a safety precaution especially if your sound card has a limiter to it.
