SOURCE: I have Sennheiser HD 570

That part isn't available from Sennheiser. But they are pretty maintainable, if you're good with mechanical things, and if you can come up with another set of the same headphones for parts.
If you've already replaced your headphones and want to rid yourself of the broken 570's, I'm looking for a set to scrounge for parts.

Hi. Could be TV settings for the external audio if you're going that route.

Could be the sound format too - you can identify the audio codecs used with gpot and look for a common thread -

Replace battery in a sennheiser officerunner headset

Here are the instructions for removing the battery and replacing it from your friends at Headsets.com!

1) Remove the headband or earloop.

2) Pry the battery door away from the shiny, black plastic strip on the tip of the headset using your fingernail.

3) Carefully flip back the speaker cover to expose the battery.

4) Gently remove the battery connector from the headset by pinching all three wires (red, black, and white) between
two fingers and pulling outward away from the headset.

5) Connect the new battery to the headset and gently close the battery door.

6) Place the headset into the charging base with the microphone tip pointing UP.

If you're having difficulty give our Product Support team a call at 1-800-923-0018 and they can walk you through it over the phone.

Looking for replacement pads for HD 540 reference gold headpones.

It appears that Sennheiser no longer manufacture these, but I've just fitted my HD 540 reference golds with the pads and central disks sold to fit HD 250s - they're a slightly different pad material (all-over soft leatherette instead of the original cloth sides) but they fit perfectly and sound fine to me. See http://www.custom-cable.co.uk/headph...pads/page-2/#8 parts code: 034183 and 037601.

My Sennheiser HD 205 suddenly had a problem with its jack. You have to move its top, nearest to the cord, to get a sound on the other ear, probably it was pulled and something went loose. I spliced it open...

The two copper wires on your headphones are independent grounds for each channel. Twist them together and attach them to the ground cable ( black) of the new plug. The colored wires of the headphone correspond to the live wires of each channel, and the plug should have the same colors. Wiring together the grounds will not affect in any way the stereo separation, it is just that each ear needs its own ground. Cheaper headsets just transfer the ground from one ear to the other one through the metal headband.

I have Sennheiser HD 570 headphones. The plastic headband is broken where it attaches to the headphone. Can I order a new plastic headband and is difficult to replace?

Headband has broken on the 465 headphones. Is there an easy way to repair this\/

If it is plastic the only way I have found that will hold it together is to melt them together with a soldering Iron. I have tried glues, but they won't take the stress.
If you do try to melt them, use a face mask, safety glasses and do it in a well ventillated room. The smoke tends to go right in your face, it will make your eyes sore. So becarefull!
A much safer way is to find a cheap pair of headphones that will take the size of the speakers from yours, then fit them in. They might not look right, but they will sound the same!
That's what I did with mine!

Need instructions for replacement of headband and ear cushions.

It should be easy - I just eased mine out by pulling on the top and bottom parts of the headphone cushion/pad.

Hope that helps
