Epson My printer wont print anything and if i get lucky and it does the page is full of jibberish? What could i do to fix it? Kind regards Nicci

its 20 years old 2002. made 2001 -2004
it did not run for 20 years and fail today. did it.? no way.

Have you tried printing a test page from the printer itself.
There must be a menu on the printer through which you can print a test page or alignment page.

If it does print through that then it means that the printer is fine and there is some software glitch in the computer which needs to be fixed. But if in case it does not print anything at all through that as well then it means that there is something wrong with the hardware of the printer and needs to be taken care by Epson itself.

Try to go to the control panel open printer and faxes then right click the icon for your printer and click on use printer online.

Please follow the procedure your printer has which forces it printer to clean the print heads.
I have experience of other epson stylus models.  I have previously spoken to epson about this exact problem.  Repeating the head cleaning process a minimum 5 times cleared the problem.
Running head clean multiple times in succession builds up pressure in the print heads - causing (usually new) cartridges to work correctly.

To reset your printer so the error message stops do the following.

Press and Hold the Stop/Reset button for 6 full seconds and then release it? Use the one Mississippi method of counting.

methinks you'll need to do a clean and calibrate on those new ink stations.

I have the same problem, I re-loaded the software, checked all the settings, went through set up procedures and nothing??????? I goes through all the motions, spits out the paper..........blank

Hey there thedeligirl,

It does sound like hardware problem. If the hardware is 4 yrs old, and the people at Epson recommend you go with a new printer, then it may be time to head to wal-mart =).

The only thing I could suggest, is run some kind of calibration, or "clean headers" option on the printer.
