Are you a tech? I suspect not. You need to remove the drum unit, disassemble, separate the drum from the development unit. Remove cover of developer unit, add developer, reassemble, and run SP2214 to calibrate.
This is NOT a procedure to be performed by an end user...no disrespect intended.

No, the 450 is just one of those machines that seem to have PCQ no matter what you do. Given light copies, I'd replace the drum for sure and make sure your ID sensor isn't covered with toner. Dust covered optics will also cause light copies on this model.

Hello

Sometimes while clearing the jam (if there was one) you may leave a bit of paper left behind which obscures a sensor causing it to think there is paper still in the paper path, or sometimes even paper dust can do it. Try a bottle of compressed air and blow the path out very well. Get a bright light (good flashlight) and very thoroughly eyeball the paper path for any "foreign" objects.

How do i fix problem Add Toner

The Ricoh has toner and developer. When the developer is depleted it can not get to the right density when toner is added so the machine keeps saying to add toner. You need to clean out the developer unit and put in new developer. Depending upon your model you may need to install a drum and blade too. Ricoh technicians are trained to dissemble the unit and just replace the parts needed instead of getting a whole drum/developer unit. If you live in Southeast Florida Advanced business computers is a great source for help. Computer network repair, printer and copier maintenance repairs, leasing and supplies.

WHY OUR MACHINE Di2011 DEVELOPER AND DRUM ARE BRAND NEW. BUT STILL BRINGS PROBLEMS E.G SERVICE CALL AND MACHINE TROUBLE SHOOT.

Was the counters cleared first? for the drum and developer, has to be done because the machine uses the counters to tell the copier what voltages to apply to certain assemblies. If not done causes codes and image problems. That is also how the copier has a new drum and developer, after the drum and developer where replaced was Toner Density procedure run. And no prints copies or faxes where received after the developer was replaced and running the Toner Density procedure, and any did get ne developer and start again. Must disconnect network cable and fax cable before changing developer also.

PROCEDURE CHANGE DEVELOPER KONICA BIZHUB 600

First clear the developer counter in service mode.

then remove the drum cart. remove developing unit. remove old developer. then run Auto max density. If you don't and make a copy or print you will have to replace the developer again
. recommend cleaning all toner around the drum and drum sensors requires removing drum be careful a nick on the drum will show up on all copies/prints

Have you had the developer and drum replaced or does the screen say Replace PC Drum? There are certain house chores the copier does before "Ready to Copy" it is waiting for them to get done, so that equals "Please Wait". One big item is making sure the developer and toner are properly mixed inside the image unit underneath the drum. Might want to have the developer replaced and drum/cleaning blade normally done all together, then run the F8 procedure and make sure the counters where cleared. Did you recently replace the drum and the developer if so did you clear the counters for the drum and developer, FIRST? IF not then the copier thinks the new drum and new developer are old. The copier works on the counters that is how it knows it got a new drum and developer. Get new developer and a new drum and have it installed correctly. Counters are clear before the unit is yanked out of the machine, then you remove the image unit/drum unit replace the developer/drum and cleaning blade. (DO NOT USE A VACUUM CLEANER WHEN REPLACING THE DEVELOPER static electricity can destroy the sensor located below the developer unit. Then reinstall and RUN F8. Make sure the fax line and Ethernet cable is removed can't print anything until the F8 is run. Or you will start all over again with new developer and a new drum.

Please wait message on bizhub 164 machine at startup

1. Power off the machine. Then remove the toner bottle, be careful the hole might be on the bottom and the toner is going to go everywhere. Then close the toner cover and turn on the machine. Let the machine go through it normal routine. When it asks for toner install the toner bottle correctly. If THE KNUB on the side of the bottle is damage put a new one in. That KNUB is what the toner motor uses to turn the bottle, if it damaged you get a code. If that does not work, you might have a bad motor or the home sensor or actuator for the toner bottle is bad worse case the control board is bad.

How can i settle the problem of magenta developer finishing so fast. Magenter developer for Konica Minolta Bizhub C550 is getting finished so fast.

If the message Change Imaging Unit Magenta displayed refer to imaging unit with contents a developer. The Imaging unit life is 80.000 copies.
The imaging units located after front door when is located the waste toner box.
If the message M toner end/change the M toner displayed refer to toner cartridge
The toner cartridge life 15.000 copies 5% saturation. In full color mode the color saturation is 80% and the color toner life is 6.000-8.000 copies.
I think your problems is a toner not the developer.

On my bizhub 250 copier, there is a message stating " Please change PC Drum" My question is, How do I change PC Drum?

This is a service technician performed function. The PC Drum unit is changed by removing the whole imaging unit and then removing the drum section and changing it out. At the same time the developer needs to be cleaned from the developing unit and replaced with fresh developer. The drum counter is then reset using the service mode and then the new developer must be calibrated using the F8 mode. So in this machine's case, this is just not a pull out the old unit and plug in a new one.
If you find the "right" service guy, he can come in and reset the drum counter and do the f8 without changing either the drum or the developer. This can sometimes get twice the life out of the unit. Copy quality can degrade a bit towards the end of the second cycle.
If you just reset it your looking at around $100. If you do everything that is called for then the cost is more like $350.
Good Luck and Thank You for using Fixya.

Adding developer to sharp sf-2025

Hi, it means the developer requires changing. it has a life of 30k (i think). I would suggest that if your quality is not effected, then keep using the machine, or spend the money on an engineer to come out and replace it.
