Deleting Songs, Videos, etc...

I can't seem to get songs that I've accidentally put on my player off. When I go into Windows Media Player and get to the sync page, it says I don't have any files on my player. I do though, seeing as it plays my music.

Aside from reformatting try opening the device as a seperate file in Windows and delete individual music files and folders. When you first install your device on your pc the option to open this folder or keep it closed automatically is presented to you. Most users turn this option off because it's easier at first to use the media player.

I cannot get songs to download onto this new mp3 player and i cannot figure out how to erase the pre-programmed songs.

Hi liz enriquez...
Here is a little help on downloading some songs to your mp3 player and then how to delete from your mp3 player

Downloading songs:
1...You must download and install Windows Media Player 11 on your computer.
NOTE...Some older MP3 players will not work with Windows Media Player 11 or Windows 7 with Windows Media Player 11.
If this happens to you, then you will have to uninstall Windows Media Player 11 and install Windows Media Player 10.
2...After you have downloaded and installed Media Player on your computer.
3...Open Media Player on your computer.
4...Install all your music into Media Player that you want to install on your MP3 player.
5...Plug in your MP3 player to the computer using your Data/Sync cord, be sure that Windows Media Player is on.
6...Media player should recognize the MP3 player and sync with it.
7...After it is sync'ed with the computer, you can add the music you have installed into Windows Media Player to your MP3 Player.

Deleting unwanted songs

The Sansa M200 series devices do not allow deletion of downloaded content directly from the device. You must connect he device to PC/Mac via USB to delete downloaded content. You will also need to use media software such as Windows Media Player, Rhapsody, iTunes, etc.. to see all of the music content on the player to be able to delete the songs you don't want. (i.e. just viewing the device in Windows Explorer might not show everything that is on he player.)
