Sweep hose motion - Polaris 380 In Ground Pool Cleaner

This is the hint regardless of Rolex. Look at the second hand and watch the motion! Does it sweep or tick? If it ticks it is battery operated watch knockoff.
Rolex is a self winding watch thus the second hand sweeps does not click each second.

Sweep / Whip hose is too Active...
turn the adjustment screw 'In' to make it a more Lazy action.

Make sure that the feed hose floats are properly attached and spaced. Make sure that the opening at the end of the sweep hose is not blocked. You might also need to adjust the power to the pool cleaners sweep hose. To adjust the motion, turn off the booster pump and turn the sweep jet clockwise to increase motion.

If it is too tight it will not have the slack to move. If it is too loose, it will not have enough tension to move. Try adjusting it and it should have the pool cleaners sweep hose motion.

If your RPM is low, you will need to increase pressure to the cleaner. If the sweep hose is laying on the side and not sweeping, you will need to adjust the screw that holds it on to get it to a gentle sweeping motion. It is also possible that you have too much hose weight on the pool cleaners sweep hose. Try removing some of the weight and seeing if that changes.

Problems with the sweep hose on these pools cleaners usually just means that you need to do some fine tuning. Start by trying to adjust the sweep hose adjustment screw. To adjust, turn off the booster pump and turn the screw clockwise to decrease motion and counterclockwise to increase. You might also need to replace one or both of your swivel ball bearings (part #D20).

Make sure that the opening at the end of your pool cleaners sweep hose is not blocked by the sweep hose scrubber. If this does not work, you will need to adjust the sweep hose screw as mentioned above.
