Question about Whirlpool Duet GHW9150P Front Load Washer
The lint trap clogs. The lint trap is in a wall drain behind the washer so it is not easy to inspect. The washing machine has a fault that is supposed to recognize this but overflowing is always the method of notification. At times the filter falls off due to back pressure that makes for an interesting repair. Is there a filter that uses a check vale to stop flow when there is excessive restriction?
Your machine has a trap, i dont understand the trap in the wall. The standpipe in the wall should be free of anything, which allows the free flow of waste water from the machine; to discharge water at a fast rate.
Plug off the wall, locate the trap -front bottom right side of the machine, unscrew, clean out, be prepared for some water. Refit. The pump-out tube into the wall should be at a particular height, about 3 fee from the ground. And dont push the tube too far into the standpipe.
