Question about Toshiba Satellite A135-S2276 Notebook

Toshiba satellite A135-S4727 PC

My son was playing Transformers-the game. turned off the pc. now the mouse doesn't work. have tried Ctl-Alt-Del. tried bluegreenash's F8 to get to safe mode. nothing is working. help. hillsboro

When you say mouse, are you referring to the touchpad? Activate it using Fn+F9. Try to recover if all else fails.

Hi,

First F8 and choose "last known good configuration".

Second, there is a small button atop the mousepad which turns the mouse on and off; might check that.

Sounds like a bad wireless card or the card slot.I would try replacing the wireless card.When wireless cards go bad they either cause the laptop to not boot,low or no signal reception or the card isn't seen at all by the motherboard or operating system or .both.If it isn't showing in device manager either with a caution sign or installed the card is most likely bad

Bootmgr is missing toshiba satellite model number a136-s4727

If bootmgr is missing..your computer wont turn on....you have to now reinstall the operating system.
you can try with the inbuilt system recovery..or you can use a os cd to do that.

Model is Satellite A135-S4727. Boots up in safe mode, but black screen when I try to do anything from there. I removed the battery and went to ac. Screen when booting works and I see the that it is...

when it goes to the black screen give it a few seconds after the mouse shows up. Ctrl+Alt+Del and select task manager, then select the process tab. click on explorer, then right click on it and select end process from the pop up menu. once it has disappeared go back to the first tab programs. click new task, type explorer and hit enter. see where it gets you from there. if that doesnt help please recover your computer per manufacture instructions.

Why wont dvd's play

1. your device is not a 'DVD-ROM' device, nor a 'CD-RW/DVD-ROM' combo device.
2. you need software, such as the free 'VLD' software, to decode the DVD, and to "play" the video.
3. your DVD-disk is scratched -- will it play in some other computer or stand-alone DVD-player?

The screen is black and the fan is running. cant turn it off or on. ctl alt del also does not work

Its in stanby mode, press on / off switch to wake it up.

Ntldr problem. I typed in clt alt del and

try to restart the computer..and if it didn't work hit those keys many times again,and if it doesn't work, scan your computer for virus or errors.

You most likely have a faulty hard drive, especially if it is making a clicking sound.
You wil need to purchase a new hard drive and install Windows again with the Toshiba Recovery CD.
