Question about Smeg DWI614 Built-in Dishwasher
The dishwasher makes an electrical humming noise and the program code changes to _ 1. I've switched the machine off and back on, initially it shows a program code but after a few seconds this changes to _ 1 and the machine will not start. Any suggestions please.
Hi olsworth, I think you may have something hung up in the pump. This is a bad situation. See if you can remove the dish baskets, and remove the strainer cover in the bottom of the chamber and see if something is in the pump drain area. I am not real familiar with the Smeg, But I do know that humming is related to the pump motor in a strain. I will study this more and get back with you soon. Please do not vote yet. I am wanting to get this solved for you, and it may take a bit of study on my part to get you an answer. Please give some feedback in to what you are finding on your end.

Tips for a great answer:
Hello Heber Allred - Are you certain that the error code is E32? This manufacturer does not have an E32 error code for any dishwasher. They do have E02 or E12. Is the hum noise more like a grinding noise? If so, then I recommend contacting a professional to move forward accurately. The unit may be experiencing an issue with a faulty drain motor.
