SOURCE: Lakewood HV-18 fan... how to wire switch?

My switch unit also fell apart as I took the back off and I didn't get to see the correct position of the switch. After much trial and error, I found this to be the initial "Off" position (see photo)

Specifically I'm trying to identify the wire on the spark plug coil assembly to which I should connect the signal wire of a Tachometer to. The wire colours are, red, yellow, green/white, and blue.

It says the tachometer wire is Yellow/Green, you do not have that listed. You will find it in the list below, it is highlighted..

How to wire for 220 v

220 is two hots and one ground. If it were me I would leave red orange and white "together",then verify your voltage on remaining wires. 110, 110, 0. If not, youre no good. Try something different. It doesn't matter what "line" goes to what "load" just as long as one of these goes through whatever relay/switch you are using. Good Luck. Hopefully single phase. If motor runs backwards swap wires.

I'm trying to replace a switch outlet combo with a leviton pr180 with occupancy sensor...it has black, red, green, and yellow red wires. The wiring in the wall is one black and white and ground for the...

In addition to the black, red, green, and yellow/red wires on the switch, there should also be a white wire or terminal marked WH. The black wire on the switch connects to the incoming black wire (line in or hot) inside the switch box. The red wire on the switch connects to the outgoing black wire (to the load) inside the switch box. The green connects to the bare wires inside the switch box. The yellow/red is not used in a single pole application such as yours. The two white wires inside the switch box are twisted together and _also_ connected to the WH terminal (or white wire) on the switch.

Hello, Typically your common wire will be white, high speed- black, medium speed- yellow, medium low-blue, red- low. The motor could still run for a short time if it was wired wrong but will either trip a breaker or go off on it;s overload when it's gets hot.

Connecting new fan/motor assy

a capacitor is typically inline with your power source and stores a large amount of power to supply bursts of power when heavy draws occur. it sits between the source and the motor so you should have the (source - capcitor - motor) hot wires all conecting at the same place. The other wire on the capacitor should be the ground (if they have +/- markings use the negative as the ground).
