How do I open the memory card slot on a Tesco hudl 1

if you are referring to the expansion card, there is no cover, it is an open slot, just push the visable card in further and it clicks out. If you are talking about the inbuilt memory, forget it as it is soldered into the board

Why do I keep getting memory stick error 1301 ?

even though you tested with new memory cards if it shows memory card error, it means there is some thing is wrong inside the memory slot, use CRC spry in it, use a M/C card to clean the slot by ejecting and pushing often, still problem, must open the camera, and desolder the slot, open it, check whether the M/C protector switch point is working normally, if the contact is in a bend state do it properly with a tweezer tool.

The battery and the memory card will not eject. Please advise.

What happened? did you drop the camera? did you let it unused for months and months? Can you open the battery chamber/memory card slot cover?
Can you move up the orange battery latch?
Is there any debris in the battery chamber or memory card slot?
did you push in the memory card, so it can jump out?
Please inform, perhaps I can help a little more.

I have a macbook and i dont see anywhere to insert a memory chip ?

The memory cards are inserted into 2 slots that can be accessed by removing the battery, and removing the 3 screws from the L-shaped metal cover. The screws won't fall out of the cover, so no worries about losing them. Once the cover is off, there are 2 slots with release levers... carefully push the lever and the existing memory card will release. Insert in same manner. If no cards, simply insert the card until the lever seats.
