if you are referring to the expansion card, there is no cover, it is an open slot, just push the visable card in further and it clicks out. If you are talking about the inbuilt memory, forget it as it is soldered into the board
What happened? did you drop the camera? did you let it unused for months and months? Can you open the battery chamber/memory card slot cover? Can you move up the orange battery latch? Is there any debris in the battery chamber or memory card slot? did you push in the memory card, so it can jump out? Please inform, perhaps I can help a little more.
Confirm the power-on lamp and the monitor
are off and open the battery-chamber/
memory card slot cover.
Be sure to turn off the camera before opening the
battery-chamber/memory card slot cover.
Removing Memory Cards1Before removing memory cards, turn the camera offand confirm that the power-on lamp and monitor areoff. 2Open the battery-chamber/memory card slot coverand press the card in to partially eject the card. 3The card can then be removed by hand. Do not attempt toremove the card at an angle.
Insert the memory card.
4Slide the memory card in correctly until it clicks into
place.
5Close the battery-chamber/memory card slot cover.
The memory cards are inserted into 2 slots that can be accessed by removing the battery, and removing the 3 screws from the L-shaped metal cover. The screws won't fall out of the cover, so no worries about losing them. Once the cover is off, there are 2 slots with release levers... carefully push the lever and the existing memory card will release. Insert in same manner. If no cards, simply insert the card until the lever seats.
it is very possible that the memory bay is broken due to factory so if it dosent make a click when you push it in then its prob a defect i hope you still have a warrenty
