Our Duet does the same thing - if you wait a few hours, then re-start, it will go through the cycle fine. Depending on the day, who knows how it will work, but always only comes up with the HF error message. Please help.

My washing machine wash for a few mins beeps then stop so I would unplug then start again thats fine but when it goes to the first spin and before it could go full spin it stop and the wash light beeps until I shut it off. Then I start it again and just when I think it works it does the same thing again only to leave water in the drum it is not draining all the water so then I have to stand there and wring my clothes out before I put it in the dryer. Can any one help or have a soulution for this problem.

Our machine was giving the HF code at 37 min after over filling with water. I unplugged the machine, popped the top (took the 3 torx screws off the back) pulled the small hose off the pressure switch sensor (round sensor on the upper back right of the machine) and blew it out just by mouth. It obviously cleared some junk. It works fine now. (also unplugged the 6 wires on the sensor, turned it around and blew on that and heard it clicking, so I knew that was ok.) Hope this helps someone.

That  means that no water has entered the machine. Make sure water spigots are on, and inlet valve screens are clear

My washer smells of mildew. I wash almost every day so I know it is not that it is just sitting. Help. How do I fix this problem. I really don't want to get rid of my set but I am going to if I cannot find an answer.

Leave the door open when you are not using it, the door seals so tight that the smell builds up from the water, Start by running it in the rinse cycle with just bleach, once the machine shuts off, open the door and leave it open. I had the same problem with the smell in the washer, it was so bad my towels stunk right after being washed.

Our machine gave the DL and F code then would stop. I unplugged it and waited for an hour then tried it again. It ran for 6 min then did the same thing again.

Unplug the washer and wait a few minutes. Then plug it back in and try it. The computer in the system should re-set.

What does error code F20 mean on a Whirlpool HP Duet washer?

Posted on Oct 01, 2009

  • 5050fred Feb 06, 2011

What does it mean? We just had our water off for a couple of days due to frozen pipes. The cold is now fixed, but not the hot. So we put the washer on cold, but it comes up with an F20 error message. Could not find that one in the manual.

HI. this code represents a Long Drain issue.

If the drain time exceeds 8 minutes, the water valves are turned off and F02 is flashed.

Press PAUSE/CANCEL twice to clear the display.

NOTE: After 4 minutes the “Sud” error will be displayed, then 4 minutes later the F02 error code will be displayed.

Potential Causes

• Check the drain hose and make sure it is not plugged or kinked
• Check the electrical connections at the pump and make sure the pump is running.
• Check the drain pump filter for foreign objects
• If the above does not correct the problem replace the pump

Whirlpool Duet 9100 starts cycle then stops & wont drain

F2 code is a drain issue. If you are not using he detergent you can cause slow draining and then you will get the code. Try using less detergent. Also, try disconnecting the power to the washer to reset controls.

Whirlpool duet washer problem

The following link explains the "FH" error code:

http://www.fixya.com/support/r615354-fh_error_code_whirlpool_duet_kenmore

First, try to unplug the washer for AT LEAST 30 minutes in an attempt to reset the Central Control Unit (CCU). Sometimes this is all that is required to correct momentary glitches with the unit. If the error code reappears, then proceed with the steps outlined in the link I provided for you.

This is one of the more "involved" error codes that you may need spend some time with. Although, it may NOT be a difficult repair, it still may require some diligence to figure out the cause. I would recommend checking your washer installation for a potential siphoning problem and then check the drain pump as these are the more common causes. If you require additional assistance, please let me know. I hope this helps you.
