hi..we would like to help you..but what is your DVD drive?external or internal DVD player? or you need DVD Movie player like a Power DVD or NERO Show time?..Thanks..GOD Bless ...^_^

so, you want play dvd disk with your exist drive? did you used the dvdrom before? or do you have dvd play utility?

Usually when you insert the DVD you should get an autoplay menu that asks which program you want to use to play the DVD (such media player etc)
Acer usually has a bundled software that allows you to watch DVD movies it could be called WinDVD ,PowerDVD choose that program to play the film.

install VLC MEDIA PLAYER. goto www.ninite.com then check vlc. Then click install. after it installs try to play in using vlc. let me know. good luck.

Wont lode movies

Hi,

Please check weather the DVD which your inserted i supported by the player.?
If someother movies plays then the problem is with the DVD which your inserted.The DVD might have not burnt in correct formatt.

Dvd DOES NOT PLAY MOVIES AND UNABLE TO LOAD GAME SOFTWARE

The standard version has Windows Vista® Home Basic Edition SP1. This version do not have native support for decoder to watch DVD movies. Install a good DVD player like WinDVD or any other DVD player software. This will install the necessary decoder. Once this is done even if the installed trial version expire, your windows media player will still play the movies. However, if you like the software, make it fully licensed version on-line. Hope this helps.

DVD disappeared in DVD Player after viewing movie

Get the dummy cd disc, put a blue tac on it. Insert it. Then after few seconds, eject it. Your dvd disc should stick with it when they came out. It worked for me and hope it will work for you.

Yes you can watch movies you need this cable though. KW-AVX800
If you do not have the manual you can get it here And the Ipod is on page 48.

Sorry, another problem

You need the correct codecs to play DVD's. The codec needed can be different for different DVD's. Just install K-lite codec pack. That should work fine.

Hi,
AVI are a certain type of movie file.
Your problem is most likely that you do not, have the correct software ( program ) installed on your computer to view these files, yet i believe do play on a normal DVD Player.
you could try Windows Media player, this may work for you. also power DVD or Similar. although there are newer programs out there. as for the conversion, this is a long winded process in itself. To convert AVI To MPEG ( standard DVD Format ) you need unpacking tools and software, And a relatively high spec PC, Lots Of Memory.

are you trying to watch dvd's from a disk ??? unless you have a dvd player installed it wont work , example, power dvd installed ? here is a free dvd player you can download http://www.avsmedia.com/DVDPlayer/index.aspx after you install this you should be able to watch dvd's with this program, and media plarer 11
