Scrambled LCD & View finder Images

I can't see any images through the LCD or Viewer?  It looks like a black and white TV with no antenna connected.  It's fussy with horizontal distorted lines. When you do try to take a picture there's a pink block on the LCD screen.   It just happened between uses.  I follow all of the instructions.  I don't leave batteries in when storing, etc.

I've tried all different combinations of setting to resolve the problem.  Can anyone suggest a possible solution?  Or, is there a repair facility that won't charge me more than the camera is worth just to look at it?

I would sincerely appreciate any suggestions to fix this problem.

CobraRocket - I ended up sending the camera to Fuji and they fixed it for free. I had owned the camera for a couple of years. I went to Fuji's website and there are directions for sending the camera to the repair facility.

They fixed the camera and sent it back. Works great!

I wasn't using the rechargeable batteries. That does sound like it would present some problems.

If you are using re-chargeable ni-MH batteries discharge fully using the camera facility and then fully charge them. Repeat and then hopefully the problem will be resolved.

Hi,
First, Please confirm that if LCD is blank then can you see the images in view finder ? If not then the CCD IMAGER is faulty and if LCD is blank and you can see the image in view finder then then a Flexible board which connect the LCD with the main unit is broken, Please replace these parts according to the symptom. Moreover, for your ease pics are shown below of both parts with part number.

First pic is for CCD IMAGER
second pic is for flexible board.
Thanks

Pictures on the lcd screen and on the sd card are all purple?

images that are all black, white, or any other solid color or hue represent a problem with the camera imager. Just to be sure it is the imager and not the LCD, download the images onto your computer and view them. If they look the same as they did on your camera, it is time for a repair.

Dust inside my d200

The view finder and focusing screen are separate from the CCD sensor. The mirror reflects the image to the view finder until you take a picture. Then the mirror goes up, the shutter opens to expose the CCD to capture the image.

If you have a lot of dust, you should look into a cleaning kit, or have it professionally cleaned. This will show up on your images as white and/or black specks.

Powershot S1 IS trouble shooting in images of lcd monitor

Try playing back pictures you know were captured properly ( either with another properly working camera or with your camera before the problem with quality has appeared ). If the image is ok in playback but 'noisy' in capture mode then the CCD sensor is faulty /on its way out. Ask Canon if they repair CCD faults on this model free of charge.

Gr-dvx7 jvc lcd screen is just white?

If the view finder shows the same white display. You probably have display circuit problem in the camera. Faulty CCD chip usually shows Black screen so it probably board problem or a connector problem. If you see an image through view finder then you may have defective connection from board to LCD assy. Either way it need to be looked at by a trained technician. Good luck.
