Wireless mouse model 3000 no longer works. I cleaned battery corrosion off and no luck. any ideas?

Either bad new battery, corrosion on the battery or battery contacts or a dead mouse.
If no on/off switch, new mouse is about $10 to $20.

I'm not sure about your exact model, but on my microsoft wireless mouse (model 1023) there is a silver button on the front that you push to release the plastic piece on top (push the button and hook the top plastic piece with your fingernail and lift up). There will be a battery compartment for 2 AA batteries. If there is no button release, look on the bottom of the mouse for a button or release flange. They are replaceable, so just investigate and play with it until you get it to open up. Good luck, and hope this works!

I email you idiots to fix a problem not to buy another product. Why should I buy a premium plan from you. With any luck it probably won't work either. Yes I did fix the problem. I threw the worthless mircosoft wireless mouse 3000 away. Problem solved

I suggest you do the following. After having synchronized both connecting buttons in mouse and receiver, take off battery and next look for a tiny thin button that protrudes from one of the sides where the receiver is placed in mouse, hold it depressed and put back a new and fresh battery releasing simultaneously this button. try plugging the usb adapter into a different usb port of the computer and there must be a connect button on tat adapter..press the connect button on tat aadapter and then press the connect button on the mouse {after replacing the battery}.if it doesnt work on 1st go ,,try 2-3 times,,,and hey best of luck

I suggest to put a new battery in it's compartment and simultaneously to press down and release the small button that protrudes where the receiver is placed at the bottom of mouse. Prior to this procedure the receiver has to be installed in the USB port. Both actions are to be performed at the same time. Cursor will start moving again.

After changing the batteries and cleaning the corrosion out of the battery case, I pressed the connect button on the Logitech receiver, then the red restart button on the underside of the keyboard and it was fixed!
