No sound in my computer

Suddanly my laptop compaq presario c700 notebook pcboard id 30d9 and version - 83.21 not playing any sound .when ever i am trying to play any music or head phone then error message come and show probs in the sound drive or used by other application. lost of time try to laod new sound drive but not able to get the sound of my laptop guide me what to do and tell me what to remove and what to load and how so that i will get the sound of my computer no sound driver for compaq c765tu
