Question about Bionaire BAP815B-U Air Purifier

Replacement Filter Four months ago, when I bought my girlfriend this air purifier it worked well. Thought she only used it twice a red light flashed indicating that we need to change the filter and we did. The new filter is in ( I unplugged the unit and waited for about 20 minuets and then plugged it back in) The power light comes on (the green light) even the light for the ionizer thing (the yellow light) but when we tried the levels (low, medium and high) the purifier didn't turn on. I thought, perhaps using the remote control might do the trick but I was wrong. Can someone please help us.

I have tried several things, changing the batteries in the remote, Nothing seems to restart the purifier. Any help is appreciated.

I do apologize for the inconvenience that your having with the product. The only other thing that i can suggest cause you already did the majority of the troubleshooting, is that there should be a small pin hole on the top of the unit. that's the reset. stick a small pin in there and hold for about 3 seconds and then the unit should be reset. if that doesn't work there is something internal that is going on. recheck the manual for the trouble shooting options as well.

Filter Replacement
Filter Replacement Indicator:
Your Defender® is equipped with a Filter Replacement Indicator located on the front
panel. Anytime this red indicator flashes, it is recommended that you call your authorized
FILTERQUEEN® Distributor to order a replacement filter. Anytime this red indicator stops
flashing and remains solidly illuminated, it is recommended that you change your filter. To
receive full benefit from your Defender® and to extend your warranty, it is strongly
recommended that you follow the filter replacement schedule suggested above. Under higher
pollution levels, your filters will need to be replaced more frequently.
The Filter Replacement Indicator is operated by filter time in use and is controlled by an
onboard timer. After 11 months of time in use of your Medi-Filter® Cartridge, the Filter
Replacement Indicator will begin to flash. It will continue to flash until the you reach 12
months of time in use, at which time the Filter Replacement Indicator will stop flashing
and remain solidly illuminated.
After replacement of your Medi-Filter® Cartridge, you must reset the Filter
Replacement Indicator's timer. When the timer has been properly reset, the Filter
Replacement Indicator will turn off.
Resetting the Filter Replacement Indicator Timer:
After replacement of your Medi-Filter® Cartridge per the instructions found on page 7, the
Filter Replacement Indicator's timer can be reset by performing the following sequence of
steps:
1 Plug unit into outlet.
2 Press power On/Off switch to the On ("I") position.
3 Allow unit to start running at low speed.
4 PRESS and HOLD both the Up and Down arrow buttons until the Filter
Replacement Indicator starts to blink.
5 Release both the Up and Down arrow buttons.
6 While the Filter Replacement Indicator is still flashing*, again PRESS and
HOLD both the Up and Down arrow buttons until the Filter Replacement
Indicator turns off.
If the steps above have been performed properly, the Filter Replacement Indicator will
turn off and not flash again for 11 months. If the Filter Replacement Indicator remains
on, repeat the steps again.
*Note that in step 6 above, the Filter Replacement Indicator MUST still be flashing when
the buttons are pressed the second time. The Filter Replacement Indicator will continue
to flash for approximately 3 seconds after the buttons are released as required in step 5 above.
Note: Under higher pollution levels, your filters will need to be replaced more frequently.

How do you turn off the little red filter llight above the low speed indicator?

I have a constantly blinking red light above the lower setting arrow...how do i resolve the problem???

How do you reset the red light on the defender when you put in a new filter? My light has never went out and I think it is supose to .


It won't go out by itself.

After cleaning red cell light wont go off


This red light goes on when air purifier needs to be cleaned, also check out whether fan is running or fan is stopped if fan is not running and red light is on then the problem is of filter got wet inside.let the filter get dry then check out.if still the same problem the filter needs replacement. to remove the filter for cleaning or replacement Remove the ESP cell by taking hold of the handles and lifting upwards. and then Remove the Oxygen Plus filter from the unit.by lifting it up slightly. its the filter problem either its wet and needs to be dried out or the filter is got clogged by dust and needs replacement.contact the local service center for air purifier and get the replacement filter.------ This will help. Air purifier can't work.

Orange light help


Did you find an answer to your orange light question? I have an AM4000 defender that I bought off Craigslist and thought I got a good deal on it. One minute after turning it on the red light came on. I tried to reset it but  the red light won't flash so you can't reset it. I don't know if it's a filter problem or a circuit board problem and I don't want to spend $100 bucks on filters to find out it's a different problem. If you buy filters on e-bay, they're cheaper but if you spend $100 from a distributor then you reactivate the warranty. I'm sorry I bought it.

Red Light on front of Filter Queen Defender


When the red light is blinking, press and hold both up and down arrows until the red light blinks RAPIDLY, release both for a second or two, and press and hold both again until it stops blinking. It cured my problem.
