Got the same problem. After turning on the receiver it goes into protect mode after 3-5 seconds. Will try to disconnect speakers and see if that helps - a loud pop comes out of one my rear channels.

Man... I have the exact same problem. Mine works great most of the time, but at night (usually when I am using it) it starts this super-loud popping sound for a few seconds and then shuts down... Sounds like meteors hitting a tin-roof? What's up with this? Defect?

When I initially bough mine, I had the same problem. It wouldn't shut down, but occasional popping sound on the center speaker. Turns out the impedance on the speaker was 4 ohms, not not 8. Replaced center with an o 8ohm speaker. This receiver is not reated to run 4 ohm speakers. If I had problems with 1, I can only imagine what kind of problems could happen if all the speakers were 4-ohms.

Samsung tv un60j6200afxza version ns02. No standby light and will not power on. Power board tested ok by tv tech. Replaced main board and still not working. Yes board tested ok. Tried multiple outlets to...

Power board is where 120 volts AC enters the TV. From the rear, the power board is on your right hand side (not bottom). After 120 volts, there is a fuse on the power line. Then the 120 volts go to a high voltage transformer and then there is a capacitor - 100 uf at 450 volts DC. Check the voltage here -- should be at least 390 volts or higher. If not, replace this capacitor with a higher capacity, ie, 350 uf with a rating of at least 400 volts (or any combination of capacitors totaling 350 uf.)

I have a Samsung 55inch TV model PN50A510P3F. The TV has power but when I turn it on, it take at least 30 minutes to come on. It keeps powering itself on and off until it gets a clear picture.

Samsung uses three boards on its TVs. From the back, the video card is bottom center (should not be the problem), to the left is the input board (where HDMI s, USB and a one button inferred controller for manual setup) and the power board. The boards are connected by flat cables. Check high voltage circuit, after the 120 volts AC, then the fuse, then the small high voltage transformer and on the other side of this transformer is a capacitor - 100 uf rated at 450 volts. The high voltage here should be at least 390 volts DC. Any voltage less than this, the capacitor needs to be replaced. I used two capacitors 150 uf 400 volts and 220 uf at 400 volts in parallel totaling 370 uf, and my TV came back to life.Good luck.

I have much Samsung TV that turns on but turns off after cycling picture has lines up and down and a loud high pitch noise comes out

The TV has a chip that check to see if the circuits are OK before turning on the set. Samsung has a power, input and video boards. The problem is when it check the high voltage circuit and it does not have 390 volts, the chip turn-off the power instead. You can buy a new power board or fix it yourself. The power board is where the 120 volts AC is plugged in, and near the 120 volts is small transformer, then you will see a capacitor rated 100 uf at 450 volts. Check for 390 volts here. If the voltage is less, then replace this capacitor with a 350 uf at 400 or at 450 volts.Samsung used a "small" capacitor when it should have ordered at large capacitor. Good luck.

Check capacitor with a digital volt meter. In my Samsung, the TV has a chip that check to see if all circuits are OK before turning on the set. Samsung has a power, input and video boards. The problem is when it check the high voltage circuit and it does not have 390 volts, the chip turn-off the power instead. (It is a safety thing.) You can buy a new power board or fix it yourself. Rudd furnace>>>> power surge.

Some circuit boards have a built in transformer and others have the transformer that sits right beside the board depending on the age of the furnace. First, look for a small 3 or 5 amp fuse on the circuit board. Check it, and if its good, and you have a small ohm/volt meter. Check your transformer. You can either ohm it out or just check for voltage. You have a "high" voltage side and a "low voltage" side of the transformer. The "high" voltage side will go to the power (120 volt) that comes into the furnace. This would probably be the side that would burn out during an elec. storm. To ohm the transformer: (This will be your best way to check)

1) shut off power to the furnace
2) pull the two wires loose that go to the "high voltage side"
3) put the leads from your ohm meter to each wire that goes to the transformer, and you should get some kind of reading. If not the "high voltage" side of the transformer is burnt out

You can follow those three steps to the "low voltage side as well, just remember where you take any wires off.

Be sure you have the power turned OFF. Good luck, hope this helps you.

Hello
You need to complete the 24 volt circut from the themostat to the transformer to get the contactor to pull in.

Check for voltage at the transformer, should be 120 v in 24 volts out. Also there may be a small reset button on the transformer.

It does not appear that my Carrier Infinity 96 is supplying the 24Vs required to my humidifier. Is there a swich on the control board that needs to be on or off to enable the humidifier power?

Hello, the control board supplies 120 volts to a transformer and then the transformer steps it down to 24 volts. check to see if you are getting 24 volts at the transformer if not then turn off the furnace and check the Resistance of the transformer, you should read resistance if not the transformer is bad and must be replaced. If you are not getting 24 volts and the transformer checks out good then a problem could be the wires going from the board to the transformer or portion of the control board is bad.
